Completely agree with your point on friendship breakups. I've had ones that have stuck with me for YEARS, and I ate way more Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Therapy icecream over it than other breakups XD

This is EXACTLY the kind of video I was looking for! I've been in the mood for something new and exciting in my reading (I tend to lively exclusively in the romance genre world). I've added four of your recs to my TBR and I'm planning to jump into We Are Not Free after my current read.

I see Illuminae on your shelf behind you and was surprised you didn’t mention that in this video! That’s one of the most unique writing styles in a book I’ve seen and I’m having trouble finding more like it!

If you liked "Star Daughter", you should read "Amid Stars and Darkness" by Chani Lynn Feener! It's kind of similar in the sense that it's a celestial urban fantasy. I think that book is pretty unique, and I totally think you would enjoy it!!

You should read Beneath a Scarlett Sky by Mark T. Sullivan! It’s a WW2 book set in Italy which I thought was a different take than other WW2 books, I also love books during that period. Great video!

Love that you’re getting sponsorships and oh my gosh amazing that it’s made out of recycled materials🤩 Hailey s uploads make my day. I adore her. Hope you’re having a great day and if it’s not great that’s okay at least you’ll have something good, this video, for a little while and I hope whoever reads this is okay 😌
I have The Inheritence Games in my collection but not read it yet. I am very much looking forward to reading it though. Haven't heard of any of the others

I recently read Geek’s Guide to Unrequited Love by Sarvenaz Tash and loved how it didn’t follow the typical formula for a YA romance, but took a unexpected and delightful turn. I definitely recommend it for a unique read!

I would also put Salt to the Sea on the list, because Ruta Sepetys writes about history most people don't know. I had never heard if the Wilhelm Gustaff until reading the book, most ship wreck stories center on the Titanic

I’d recommend The Darkness Outside Us by Eliot Schrefer:) I went into it thinking I’d know exactly what to expect and then it just blew up in my face😂 It’s Sci-Fi where two boys are sent out to Saturn to rescue the first settler on Titan but something on their ship doesn’t add up and it becomes a mystery/romance/can humanity be saved thing which still gives me a weird what-even-matters? feeling when I look up to the stars. Also it just came out and I don’t have anyone to talk about it🥲

One of the unique/unusual book that I read is Lover's Dictionary by David Levithan. I like how it is set up that is similar to a dictionary and then you have prose/poems per word. 👍
@ffiontill59243 жыл бұрын
It would be cool to do this video about books that are different format if that makes sense, I can’t remember the title of the book but I think booksandlala mentioned it a while ago, a book that starts backwards like you read it like manga and also a book that has like format with segments of black pages or script parts and documents if that makes sense there’s also a book that mmmmmmm by A S King I think anyways the book is called hole or the hole and it’s constructed with holes in the actual pages or the pages are constructed around the actual hole I’m not sure but I hope you know what I mean like different style type books?
