the sound of the incoming microburst loaded with hell was terrifying.

😢😮 I'll just say boy Felix. I feel sorry for you. Wow! This was a bad storm 11 years ago. I live up in the Northeast. We don't get too much of that. Hope you made out all right in the damage to your house wasn't too bad thank you. At that time that happened.

I'm glad he at least did an emergency cover-up of the stuff beneath the broken window upstairs. I was thinking I would do the same thing; just grab some kind of protection and quickly toss it in place. Better than nothing.

Microburst, loaded with hail. Nasty.
@INUN0TAISHO3 жыл бұрын
I think this was way more than a mere micro burst. When the video starts, you can see what looks very much like a wall cloud. Then, while panning right to left, you get a very brief glimpse of very active clouds, but the camera pulls away before a real assessment can be made. Finally, that sound. That deafening roar of winds. It all leads me to believe that this storm may have contained tornadic rotation, but not enough to generate a tornado. The mere fact that there was hail of some respectable size pounding the house tells me that the wind turbulence was high enough to recycle the hailstones up to size before they fell. I'm guessing this was a small but intense storm system; part of a line of spot storms. They can be small but very intense; even containing tornadoes.

For some reason I like hail and tornados and just any storm, I'm really fascinated by the power and destruction of these storms

I know I shouldn’t laugh but when you were peeking around the stair rails at the broken window with rain flying in was just kind of hilarious. You have lovely windows, hope you could get them fixed, and upgraded. 🤗

It was funny! Do laugh please! Glass replaced, no upgrades (it's a rental house), we moved not long after that anyway.

You were lucky you didn't get hit by a tornado. One of the things that are often observed right before a tornado strike is lack of wind and that growing sound in the background. The signs can take many forms, but this is one of the more common ones. This was NOT a normal start of a storm, and you and everybody in that area were in great danger.
