Before cell phone cameras I rode out a hail storm with softball size hail. It did over $2,000,000,000 in damage in the FT, Worth and surrounding areas. It sounded like a herd of horses running on my roof. Fortunately, I was in the commercial roofing business at that time. All the leaves were striped off of trees. Dead and injured birds were everywhere. Some times mother nature has a dark side and tries to kill you. Great video. Thanks.

I remember living in the mountains and we had a massive hailstorm. Lasted maybe 5 minutes and was almost golf ball size or a little smaller. When the storm was done it looked like we had 4 inches of snow on our patio. Couple cars damaged but nothing like this! That was scary
@chronically.advocating Жыл бұрын
Yeah been through one of those before. Once you hear the sound of baseball to softball sized hail once you'll never forget that sound. I was delivering pizzas in Fish Lake in Chisago County in Minnesota. We got softball and grapefruit sized hail, and that sound OMG the sound it makes. I knew this sound the second I heard it on the video. Needless to say my car was absolutely trashed. I had to drive 18 miles back to work with no windshield, or rear window, only one side window left, and dents so deep you could feel them through the headliner. Hail this big is absolutely insane.

Been through a hail storm in Scotch Grove Iowa..... many years ago.....maybe ( 50 ) years ago.... large jagged stones some bigger then soft ball sized. 80 mile per hour winds Took every window out of the house...siding off the house.....along with some window frames. With over 100 cows outside......a disaster... the cows had to be sold the next day to prevent more meat damage. Birds were dead.

How come nobody made an effort to block all of that wind & water from coming into the kitchen through the broken window? I would have at least overturned a table and shoved it against the window to try & block the destructive elements. Was anyone getting laid in the house during this?

@diarrheticgazelle Oh I agree with you, at least on the wind thing. I was ONLY talking about shelter from hail, which you also generally only need if the hail is larger than baseball size, or if you're in a convertible or on a bike or motorcycle.
