That intense! I won't scold you for "how dumb walking into a glass room during a hailstorm" because I would have had to do that just for the experience. Poor doggies were so freaked out. Thank you for the video!

This was a crazy awesome day. I live in an apt complex and right in front of metal car ports so of course you can imagine how loud it was!! I live off of 43rd Ave & Bell . I hope we get more storms like that! Growing up in the midwest, I miss big storms like that.

I was at the bus stop at 67th Ave & Peoria watching the storm move straight up I-17. I kept hearing a roar and thought it was the fly boys at Luke. Nope. It was the sound of the hail after the sideways wind and band of rain. I hid behind the structure to keep safe since I waited too long to run for cover. I also saw rotation in the lowest SW corner of the monster. It didn't surprise me when I found out tornadoes had caused havoc farther north. My apartment 2 miles west didn't even get a drop of rain. What a bizarre event.

And that is why we don't have rooms with glass roofs here in the Midwest; they would last about one month during tornado season! Cool dogs though; they are like "uh, I'm sure there are safer rooms in this house during a hailstorm!" LOL
@evankeal5 жыл бұрын
The worst day of my life - it was by far the most powerful storm to hit the area in recorded times, not judged by this video of course. Without power for days, no home within 20 miles did not have a new roof within 2 years. This was actually the second hail storm that blanketed the area, another occurred in the late morning. My insurance company had a special phone number just for this incident.

Negatory, this was infinitely beyond normal weather that occurs anywhere other than the midwest U.S. UK weather is tame and pleasant compared to inland desert freak storms.

Why do you have a SUN room in Phoenix?
@suzbone6 жыл бұрын
If it's placed on the north face of the house, and with good tree cover, it could work just fine. Especially if it's got patio doors between it and the house. Otherwise, yeah, no bueno.
@suzbone6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, at 0:05 you can see that it's built onto the outside wall of the house, so it's got that thermal buffer. Actually, the conservatory insulates that wall to some degree.

@Afib952 жыл бұрын
Actually it is glass. It’s what is called high impact glass. Like hurricane windows.
@d3t0x2214 жыл бұрын
either you were on the farside of a tornado in the inflow or those were some serious streightlie winds there for a sec. next time remember the glass is enforced but once you add wind. wieght from ice and rain. and a large window with even pebble sized hail you can get one that is baseball sized and depending on how far up they are falling plus or minus winds. don't stand under there. a baseball or a pebble at 400mph will kill. but as i always say. natural selection. no offence.
