I love that mentality of "if they say three, I cut one. If they say six, I cut one." Once, I had hair long enough to sit on and asked for it to be cut to waist length, which was a six inch trim for me. The stylist gave me all kinds of grief for wanting a trim, bashed my hair color the entire time I was in her chair, and then cut my hair to just beneath my shoulder blades. It was completely uneven, so she had to take off even more. By the time she finished, it was 13 inches shorter than when I walked in. I was LIVID.

@@wynona7372 She knew she was upsetting me during the session, and one stylist who didn't have a client at the time sat behind us watching the whole thing and not shutting my stylist down when she'd try to get her to agree with the stuff she was saying about my hair color. She didn't approve of "party colors," and mine was a purple ombre into blues and pinks. The third stylist just tried to drown her out. I wish now I hadn't tipped. I also didn't realize JUST how short it was until after I'd left. She made sure to keep the handheld mirror above me so I had to tilt my head back to see in the larger mirror at her station. Based on the overall behavior of the staff, it didn't seem like going to them with any complaints would be helpful once I saw the actual length, so I left bad reviews everywhere I could for the stylist. They responded a year later saying it wasn't them because they don't currently employ anyone with that name.

@@wynona7372 I was so angry. I'll never go back there. I found a better place after. It's a bit far away, but it's near a speciality market I like, so I just plan my hair stuff around trips to that market.

On the topic of haters... I have this in almost every work setting. Killing them with kindness and letting them learn to love me is my best weapon. I love the collagen powder. I use it with my hennasooq dye. I also mix with water and spray it during henna treatments. It does make a difference on my hair. I love to watch your creations and that color looks way better than the blonde she liked. You're an artist!

Please do a quick product knowledge video on the products used at the shampoo bowl. Great to see them in action..nice to have it broken down a bit though. Can any of them be used on an at home basis to repair hair? I've been wanting to go in for a hair lighting service.. nothing compares to your work. Wish I could buy the collagen powder & bring it in for stylist to throw in the lightner. Hard to be a stylist and get hair done. You set such a high standard. Wish more people took advantage of the free education you put out.
