Thanks so much for these REAL and practical tips. We've all heard the same ol same "tips" from the other KZbin ladies, no shade but they all say the same thing. You really emphasized holistic health which I think is KEY for healthy hair. Healthy, long, strong hair can't come from an unhealthy body. Get your hormones together, eat those greens, drink all the water, exercise, massage your scalp, listen to your hair and body to give them what they need and last but not least... RELAX! The hair is gonna grow, leave it alone as much as possible and watch it do it's thing. Love these tips, Sis! Thank you for sharing!

Tips: 1. Start and end the day with a yoga pose. 2. Keep your ends tucked away. Use bobby pins instead of elastics. 3. Drink tea, especially green tea, tumeric and cinnamon. 4. Develop a night time routine, e.g. redo twists, keep ends moisturized and sealed, etc. 5. Have goals and be consistent in your regimen.

Hibiscus tea has iron
@lst_sunrise5 жыл бұрын
Studies have shown green tea, white tea, black tea, oolong tea ( there is a long list of teas), and caffeinated beverages. These decrease non heme (plant based) iron absorption. Tannins in tea interferes with non heme iron by combining with it and making it less available for absorption. The higher the amount of tannins the lower the availability of non here iron will be. There are other substances that effect iron absorption such as oxalates, polyphenols, and chlorogenic acid for example. Heme (animal and seafood based) iron is less effected than non heme iron. Vitamin C helps iron absorption. It's best to drink tea at least a hour before and a couple hours after a meal. Also it said to avoid over steeping tea bag. I hope this helps. Peace love and blessings

My hair is low density. I don’t like wearing it in twist unless I add extensions. Would you recommend that I keep my hair in twist using extensions?

Once your ends are protected, it's safe

Just don’t leave the twists for too long, moisturizing your natural will be difficult because it’ll be mixed with the synthetic hair but try your best to be consistent. A clean scalp is a must. But to be honest I used to only do kinky twists with Afro-kinky hair for years because I never liked my actual hair. From being relaxed to natural. I’m five years natural now and my hair looks like it’s only been for a solid two. It’s healthy enough, but that’s only happening because I’m twisting my short hair on its own and really dedicating myself to self-acceptance and taking care it. Loving my hair for what it is and what I believe it can be.

Thank you for your amazing advice. I am a 4c natural as of this past May. My hair has experienced a small form of alopecia on the front sides of my hair. I stopped wearing braids or anything that pulls. Do you have any advice to offer about how to grow short hair experiencing this condition?

Watch out for yoga- it's rooted in Hinduism. And many of the moves are salutes to their "gods" as well as the humming chanting and mantras as forms of "worship" to them. Other than that, I absolutely agree with exercising and putting the right things in the body to do its job. Conscience clean eating and consistent working out has done wonders for my hair health and skin! Thanks for your tips girly!

That's right! It's straight up sex magic called 'tantra' ...but regular exercise like cardio or dance even just simply walking/jogging should keep the blood flow to our scalps. The key is to remain consistent!
