Some studies have found that cumin seeds can help regulate fasting blood sugar levels in people with Type 2 diabetes. This may be due to the presence of certain compounds in cumin seeds, such as cumin aldehyde, which have been shown to have anti-diabetic effects. The blood glucose lowering potential of cumin is also attributed to the presence of thymoquinone, an active chemical component that protects the B-cells of the pancreas from oxidative stress.

Sounds great Dr. Mandell. The only issue for me is that it will give me heartburn. I can not eat anything at all 30 minutes prior to bed. In fact, I have to wait for at least 3 full hours after I have eaten anything to finally be able to go to bed without getting heartburn.

Wow wow. So it really works? I am at the verge of having a Stroke and a Heart attack from lack of sleep. One monday i was cursed with sleep Dissorder and i have tried everything. As soon as i saw this, i ran to my local supermarket and bought organic ground cumin and organic bananas. I pray to God this works. I will cry profusely if i wake up at 6am instead of 2 and 3am. My brain and heart are at the virge of exploding from lack of sleep

​@@tonyanthonyironman4352I am praying for you. No sleep truly does feel that scary. I just had a baby and in the early days I felt the same way you describe. I was previously healed of lifelong insomnia by Jesus through prayer and in faith before I had my firstborn in 2015. I have never had trouble falling asleep since (sleepless recently due to night wakings to nurse haha but falling back asleep is still fully healed) Christ did what he did not only to save us and bring us to heaven with Him but also so we can have healing in this life right now. So, I am praying for you to know Jesus, have sustained sleep and full healing and I do hope the remedy helps because all these natural things were designed to help our bodies by God. I never do this because it can be so weird haha but God highlighted your comment to me to let you know that someone is praying for you.

Just think we're all in this fight together, it helps to know we all feel stress and anxiety, and hard time's but it seems to work out, I keep telling myself I'm not the only one that feels this way, that helps me a lot, I'll muscle through it

I am a type 2 diabetic..... With neuropathy in my feet, and a host of other illnesses....including not sleeping more than 4-5 hours a night. Today is January 10, 2023 and last night after watching this I decided to try it, even though I had old non organic cumin in my pantry. I mashed up one of my husband's bananas (I don't eat bananas) with the cumin and did not go to bed until 11:15 (1.5 hrs after eating it,). I must have drifted off quickly and then woke up to pee at 3:25am.... Went back to bed and propped up the pillows on an incline and again did not wake until 7:45 am. I cannot remember ever sleeping 8 hours ... In the last 10 years.....ever.

I tried that. Waked up with a lot of energy. Didn't need my coffee. Didn't have leg cramps. The taste is strange in the beginning, but worth it!

I'm going to try it because I have been getting leg cramps more often lately...I drink more water, don't eat salt or salty food, I use sea salt..and not a lot of that either, I stretch my legs....and I still wake up with cramps sometimes, I hope and pray this helps!!! 🙏🙏🙏

I do the banana and cinnamon for a peaceful sleep that Dr Mandell recommended. In fact, every night before bed my granddaughter goes into the kitchen and makes this for us. When we wake up, she’s like, “I had the best sleep ever!” And for the next 30 minutes I have to hear about Dr Mandell with this BRILLIANT Idea. lol She’s only 9 and tells the family, ALL her friends and teachers to follow Dr Mandell because he’s the GREATEST Dr ever. lol. I have for the first time in more than 10 years been able to sleep 7 hrs at night. I usually sleep 3 to 4 hrs only. But after listening to you message I did as you advised ( ie eat a banana mixed with cumin.) 40 minutes before bed time. The results were so astonishing. I had my good 7 hrs of sleep without waking up. I was surprised. Thank you so much Dr . May you live long .

I’m a type 1 diabetic and whenever I eat cinnamon my blood sugar drops as if I just gave myself insulin! So glad a doctor is speaking out about amazing healthy ways to receive restful sleep!

@@HaroldZwingley it lowers blood presssure and when blood pressure is lowered so is blood sugar. Though it’s not a replacement for insulin. And type 1 is auto immune. I’ve had to be careful Bc it can drop it and then I can have a hard time getting it back up. More studies are needed on how it works.

I tried this the other night and he is not lying. I fell into the deepest sleep I've had in a very long time. So much so, I overslept and was late for work. For me, the taste is something to get used to. I like cumin and love bananas, but together is something different. I'll keep doing this though because it works and I'm all for anything natural.

@@sharonellitson4231 I totally understand. For me, it was about not going another night getting maybe 2 hours of sleep and having to do a full 8 hour work day. After the first try and it worked, I told myself it doesn't matter what it tastes like, that's the best sleep I've had since I don't know when. It's worth it if you're having trouble sleeping.

I’ve been eating the smashed garlic clove daily for a couple of months after watching your video. Saw my cardiologist for my annual checkup. EKG was perfect and my BP was 122/85. Way lower than it normally measures which is 140/93 or so. Thank you for these videos.

WOW. I tried this and I slept well but my heart usually pounds during the night and when I wake up. I was so at peace when I woke up in the morning and for the first time in almost four years my heart wasn't pounding and I felt like I could lay there forever. I was almost groggy like I had taken a sleeping pill. It was amazing how peaceful my mind was!!

You might have what I have. Supra Venticular Tachycardia. It's a rapid heart rate set off by misfiring of the electrical current. Our heart is All electric. Do not eat junk food, candy, sodas or lots of salt is horrible for the heart❤❤

Tonight is night 3 with this concoction. I'm a terrible skeptic. Night 1, this stuff knocked me out and I slept deeper then I have in years it seemed. I woke up with feeling well rested and alert. I was still skeptical this was the trick. Night 2, same result. Tonight is night 3, so far this stuff proves to work. It's pretty miraculous unless there is another reason but I haven't changed anything else. Thank you Doc, im gonna stay on this.

Wow wow i am really exited to try this. Havent had a good nite sleep in weeks and it starting to affect my brain and heart. I flew to the store and scored the bananas and the Organic Ground Cuming. The Organic ground Cuming does says it helps with insomnia. Dear God i will cry profusely if i wake up at least at 5am or even at 6am rather than 2 and 3am.

​@@MitziHartDr. Mandell posted a video a while back re: storage of bananas. He peeled bananas, cut them in half, placed the bananas in a zipper type bag .... then into the freezer. That way just take out one banana portion to defrost; then use. Sorry I don't know which vlog. But I will try to find it. Not for me as I have banana sensitivity. Seemed a great 💡 idea, though.

I tried something Dr. Mandell recommended awhile back last night. Warm milk with tumeric, cinnamon and honey. Was out in less than 20 minutes. Slept 5 hours straight. Wish I could have slept longer but it could've been worse. Also had a cup of chamomile tea after the milk. Also took magnesium, zinc and melatonin supplements

This is what I drink, minus the honey and cinnamon. I also drink chamomile and have a mag citrate/bisglycinate and cod liver oil. I take the zinc in the morning. That milk with the cinnamon sounds nice, I will try that ☮️

Milk and dairy not so good for prostate, so unfortunately regular intake of milk would probably do more damage to the prostate than good.

what I like the most about these videos is that its products you could have already or you could buy at the market. No "pills" or "powder" from a lab (with potential side effects) that you have to add to a smoothie.

I always use ground cunin, coriander, turmetic, black pepper and other spices like fennels seeds, ground cloves, ginger, etc... ( whatever spices i have in the pantry) to cook tofu, chicken or fish. This ensure i have healthy meals. I put a pinch of ground nutmeg and boil with 2% organic cow milk and drink before bed. This helps me sleep well. Do not boil milk for long time. As soon as it start to boil, turn off heat. Cool little bit and drink warm. Non fat or skim milk does not help sleep because our brain needs fat. Acupressure to the head, face and hands help sleep also. Dr Mandel taught that too.

I make smoothies and put banana, Tumeric, avacodo, celery, 1 tbs of 100% pumpkin, collagen, a half cup of kefir, water & ice. I'm having stomach problems, and this seems to help.

If you're talking indegestion/ heartburn- which I get, on occasion if I overindulge- I put a half teaspoon of baking soda in a big glass of water. It works fast. Also not having large meal in the evening helps greatly.

TYVM Dr. As an athlete i sometimes have trouble getting to sleep because my metabolism or brain is racing. A bodybuilder friend said to eat a handful of fruit like strawberry or grapes or .25 apple and it gives me like a food coma affect but not affect any ketosis. It absolutely does the trick. Your tip here seems remarkably similar and the cumin is an added benefit
