Shane I used to be a HUGE fan of these guys. This isn't the original band. The original band broke up back in 2018. The drummer: Taz, Bassist: Middy, and guitarist: Johnny all left. Archie the singer is the only one left and he's had a reputation of being a bad person to work with. The original band was SO talented. I saw them in 2017 and everything was live and were awesome. This new band that you are seeing here is GARBAGE. Santa Cruz died in 2018 when the other members left.

Good comment! It's sad that Archie owns the name. Santa Cruz with Taz, Middy and Johnny would have been awesome with a new singer. Johnny is damn gifted in writing and composing and Taz and Middy are just a force at keeping things tight. It's a damn shame what the band has come with these hired guns...

I have been a fan of Santa Cruz since 2015, seen them live in 2016 (amazing) and was very sad when the original band broke up in 2018. I had hope with the next lineup but Archie went really downhill (addiction problems I believe) and rumors say he’s a complicated person to work with. This new lineup and this show was a bad idea. They clearly didn’t have enough time to rehearse, they don’t even look like a band, just four guys on stage next to each other. There’s no alchemy here too… And the lip sync, the out of sync instruments… this is so embarrassing, probably the worst thing that could happen to a band. I’ve been very supportive for a long time but now I think I’m done with supporting Santa Cruz :(

New in here, but I instantly subbed after seeing this. You might want to react to their interview before this gig and a song called untouched from this gig. They had the whole song played as a playback and it's just horrible. That song is also part of Alexi Laiho's legacy and the way they just butcher the whole thing makes me (and many other COB/ Laiho fans) mad. Thanks for the vid 👍 Edit: Like few other have said here, the original lineup was fire, but the band imploded during their US tour where the guys (Middy, Taz and Johnny) kicked Archie out from their tourbus and went home... After that it's been downhill for SC.

It's amazing how he's using the playback mainly for the lead vocals, not the low harmonies. I can understand bands using backing tracks, even with vocals, but the lead vocals this loud? Why?!?! It didn't add anything special to the show and puts them through this risk

Yeah, i was in reckless love gig yesterday and they had own dj who played backing vocals and synthesizer. Santa cruz only have backing harmonize vocals. So this is so stupid to blame their for it, when every rock band is using these. So GFYSLF.

I deal with a drummer in a band in Hollywood, we often play the Whisky. For some reason drummers are hooked on trying to perform with excessive backing tracks. It makes me sad cause I have never done this and it seems so not rock n roll. I know I'm not the only real deal musician and frontman with these issues.

Archie can play and sing live he was using a backing track! Archie's playing speaks for itself he learned a lot from Alexi Laiho and Alexi never lip synced any song.

@@edward7434 he wasn’t lip syncing! he was harmonizing with a backing track and the timing got lost on the drummer so he had to turn to the drummer to bring back the timing. unfortunately the track kept playing. Big deal already…Seems like people are out to humiliate the guy.

Every song from the concert is on youtube on the same channel, and there are trainwrecks on many of the other songs. They used to be a great band, tho. All the sidemen are brand new, and clearly ruining it.
