I just watched your great videos (from france), and I would like to share my experiences of my first year wearing a hair system. First, i used a lace system stuck with tapes and after a polyurethane 0.03 version stuck with glue on full scalp for which I am agree with you about the breathability matter. I must tell I have white hair. With lace, I noticed that after about 10 days, tapes were dark due to dirty passing through the lace. So it can be visible on my head, and i need to remove and replace tapes. The second point is the front lace raised out after a few days. I just remove the tape of the front line, then put a new band on the curved perimeter and all that in front of the mirror. It's not easy ! So when you advice to put glue on the front edge, it could be the solution, but i am wondering if it is easy to remove it from lace after. With PU, it seams to be easier as no dark tapes, no tape on front edge too so i just have to use glue but I am agree with you, it is more binding to remove glue on hair system and on scalp and of course the matter of breathability. But it stays longer on my head. May be, regards to my experience, could you advise me about your method with lace and pu to manage easily without too many contraints Thanks again for your great videos

Curtis always answers your questions when you email him, and works hard to get you set up. He'll even call to make sure he has everything in the order straight. That's one important thing that separates him from most everybody else in the business. Really good video, I can't imagine a full head bond, that would drive me absolutely crazy. Perimeter tape, and adhesive on the front hairline, that's the way to go for me.

So far I’ve been lucky with glue. Ghost bond platinum was my first one ever and it worked great and is my go to glue. Also have used your clear bond and Walker ultra hold. Both give me fantastic hold times. Will say your clear bond works better then walkers for me.

I like thin skin, feels cool and smooth to the touch. I tried super fine swiss lace once and it just felt scratchy on my head and due to that felt warm not cool. The hair line was as good but could not feel comfy wearing it. The thin skin is like my own hair.

Hi , love your videos it’s very educational. I have a question. Would you mix clear bond with white bond? I’ve been thought that if you put clear bond on the skin of the hair system and white bond on the head it’ll stay longer on??? Any thoughts about this? Thank you

Hey !! Personally I would never mix products. Reactions etc. Also the bond is only as strong as the weakest part. Hope that helps !

can you get a hybrid with thin poly in the front hair line and lace in the back. So the front hairline looks the most realistic but easy tape removal for the lace.

Have you any advice on my unit loosing colour within 7 days of a newly dyed system it nearly blond again and I have brown hair ! The unit is 3 months old and snapping off all over I’ve used all products my suppler tells me with no luck ! Thanks from the Uk
@michaelangel59562 жыл бұрын
I don't know your situation, but I've dyed units in multiple fashion with different products. If you dye properly, which normally means you're going to have to leave the dye on a lot longer than the instructions say because you're dying already dyed and treated hair. I've even used the highlights from a brown box of dye just to lighten my units. You normally won't lose dyed color over short periods, it takes a very long while for it to wear off. Now, if you wear it in the sun, or swim in chlorinated pools a lot, it will make it lighten much faster.

You can try 2 things for the color issue. One thing is the back2natural color depositing shampoo (kind of-not really a shampoo) - Curtis sells this in his store. Choose the color you think you need. The other option is to use a purple shampoo and conditioner. Its going to work faster in your hair system than it does in normal hair - since your hair system has the hair cuticle removed - and soaks up color about twice as fast as normal hair. The purple shampoo will really tone down the blonde and brassy colors you get. Use it every couple days if you need to. Also - your system shouldn't be losing that amount of color after 7 days. Maybe if you're in bright sun all day or in a chlorine filled pool all day. Make sure to use a water filter on your showerhead to get the chlorine etc out of your water. You don't want that in your hair. No one should have that in their hair.

I’m just not sure which way to go; transplant vs system. I have a decent amount of bio hair left but not great amount. First transplant helped but not a fix all. Crown area is ok but Frontal area behind hairline is now quite thin. How do I make a decision? I’m getting older and the thought of a hair system is very appealing; no long process - quick results, etc

Hi Curtis, sorry an off-topic question. The systems that you usually use are Poly base units right? Are poly base units better than full lace units in terms of look and durability?

Go ahead and enjoy your swim. Just pour a bottle of distilled / purified water on your head after you get out of the pool to wash out the chlorine and that should help a lot

@@Alex-ss6xo Hi and thats the thing with a white bond. Being water based this happens to some people. The one thing we couldnt fix during testing. Most white bonds will do this. Clear bonds do not. This only happens to some (prob 2 out of 10) and not all. Sorry !!

Hey Curtis! Great to hear from you buddy! Yeah, I've never done full bond, but it seems like it might be a total disaster if you do it yourself. If you use a salon, then it could work, but then that breathability issue might come up.

You can also do a perimeter glue which is the best in my opinion. Tape is more work if you ask me and it is too thick. I do a perimeter in glue and a little glue in the center. I can’t see a better option.
