Hair Update | Japanese Straight Perm | 28 Weeks Post

Hello everyone and welcome! I tried to organize my thoughts as best as I could, I'm sorry I'm still pretty scatter-brained lol. I'm a much better writer than I am a speaker!
Today's video talks about a lot but just pretty surface-level. I think I definitely could've gone into more detail and explained better with some things, such as, how the Tignon Law and the stereotype that black women don't have hair inadvertently made me feel like I shouldn't cut my hair or do any damaging styles. I'll probably make another video just on that and explain better because this was honestly a mess lol.

It’s ok to be indecisive about what you want to do with your hair. It’s your hair so just do whatever makes you happy. Hair is hair it will always grow back.

I experience the same type of breakage on the top of my head. It’s a very small section so I’m not worried about it, it’s not noticeable. Im still probably gonna keep getting Japanese straightening done because it’s convenient and my hair is growing

I wonder what that breakage is about... maybe parting the hair down the middle too much is the issue? The longer I thought about it, I'll probably keep getting it done too lol it is SUPER convenient and my hair grows super well with it as well.

@@hunxue7778 Maybe it's how you guys sleep? the friction of your bonnet and tossing and turning. Maybe try changing up how you wrap your hair for bed. Sometimes in a high pony, sometimes low etc etc.

I got that breakage too when I got the Korean magic perm, I think it’s the over manipulation at the hair part that caused it for me..

It was caused by me waiting too long to get a touch up since things were closed down in NorCal :/

Do you have to wait until you have 3 inches of growth or could you do it sooner like around the 3/4 month mark?
