That's totally normal but there are definitely ways to make your waves last a little longer!

I really liked your tips! Never thought of many of the things you mentioned, I believe they will be very useful to me. But what I liked the most is the fact that you are using your platform to give visibility to some of the disastrous and horrible situations going on in the global south right now, I feel so grateful for that. I'm Colombian and watching this really helped me to unwind for a sec 🇨🇴

Had it not been for my Colombian viewers I would’ve never known how bad things are getting down there. Wishing you safety and freedom from an oppressive government 🙏🏾

Yes! Why does noone talk about hairspray?! I chronically run my fingers thru my hair and hairspray really helps keep me from destroying my volume and definition right away. Love this video!!

YESSSS you mentioned hairspray!! I have very thick 2c hair and I just use a flexible hold one from aussie (mega hair spray). I'm on day 6 right now (straightening it later tdy) and it still looks superrrr defined! I put a little bit on in the mornings, or when needed, and it works great!! It smells good and isn't crunchy. Love ur vids btw! I can never find people who are Canadian and use only products available in Canada, so you and Manes by Mel have saved my life lmaoooo!

I love that Aussie Mega, but it made me so itchy :(

I'm curious what your thoughts are or anybody else's, should one break a Hairspray cast? For example, when my hair is damp I shape My bangs and I have to put hairspray in it right away otherwise they just don't hold. And yes, I do end up combing it before they dry completely. I've decided I probably need to be using hairspray on more of my hair, but don't want the stiffness.. but I need the hold... catch 22

My hair is frizzy on the top and with defined waves in the ends,no matter how many treatments i do.Any product recommendations?
@savannahsantana37482 жыл бұрын
Hey! I add styler from root to ends so help with the frizz. I use the NYM curl mousse and found it’s pretty effective. I get frizzy from any moisture but this has helped make it more manageable.

where is your top from??
@SuhannaDeSilva3 жыл бұрын
It’s the Wilfred Cayenne top from Aritzia! I’m not sure if they have the same green this summer but they have a bunch of colours and it’s in stock every year.

Hey is it only me who's hair becomes more wavy as the time passes???😂
@diyanahs76943 жыл бұрын
I wear hijab on a daily basis from 8-5 but I still want my waves to stay until the next wash cuz I won't be wearing hijab at home (obviously 😂). The thing is, my hair would be flat on top after a whole day of wearing the underscarf and the length of my hair would be straightened as I have it tied the whole day. It would be sooo helpful if you can come out with a wavy hair routine for hijabi 🥺❤️
@sophiablank3253 жыл бұрын
It depends how you wear hijab but if possible maybe put a silk scarf underneath or even a silk bonnet if you can get away with it. This will prevemt friction like with other fabrics and affect the waves less. And if you have a side parting, try parting it on opposite side during the day so when you get home you can flip it over and it will have extra good volume
@lindasue87193 жыл бұрын
Could you do something with the existing fabric (or adding something a layer), and rather than let your hair lie flat, do something like "plopping" before placing the fabric?

The problems is is that I don't know of any product that works for me unfortunately and I'm honestly over it tbh. Last week I flat ironed my hair for the first time in my life and I didn't even know we had a straightener and I fell in love with it, it was so silly and easy to run my fingers through and I really enjoyed seeing my true length come through.

You are always unapologetically yourself. We would like to see you in shorter hair sometime soon with more videos.
