I do appreciate your focus on wavy hair when so many KZbinrs are all about the curl. Can’t tell you how many wavies I see online trying to use curly products and methods and wondering why their hair looks so bad! For super strong hold with a gel cast, I swear by Harry’s, which is a men’s brand hair gel. There is a moisturizing glycerin free gel that doesn’t weigh my hair down: the Camille Rose Curl Maker, it gives amazing, not greasy definition to my wavy hair. But the hold isn’t very Iong-lasting; I definitely need to use a layer of strong hold gel or a styling spray with it. Thanks again for all you do!

Omg that’s why my hair looks so bad. Because I’m using curly hair products 😭!! Omg I’ve been trying to find a good conditioner and shampoo for me but nothing has worked. After going sulfate free my hair is super tangled and feels dry and brittle I also get lots of build up and itchy scalp IDK WHAT TO DO

@@SuhannaDeSilva I went out after watching your video to purchase the Herbal Essences gel...LOL. Does anyone know how it compares to the Aussie Instant Freeze gel? I'm curious which is better for fine (easily weighed down) wavy hair. Many thanks for any responses 🥰

I have lowporosity wavy hair, and I'm actually able to use Bouclemes super hold styler as a single styler! I usually pair it with a foam or mousse to get some volume! I definitely have to try some of the other gels you're recommending 😊

Uncle funkys daughter curly hair magic is amazing, as well as Camille rose curl maker. They're both at Target and around $20. I'm also a fan of Jessicurl spiralicious.

I would love to find out if CR is available retail in Canada (I haven't seen it in Vancouver). It costs a small fortune on Amazon.

When I first started really getting into my waves/curls I always preferred just leave in. Lately I’ve given styling products a try, started with mousse, and now I’m looking for better lasting power after styling, so I’m trying gel again! I just ordered Jessicurl Spiralicious this morning or I probably would have picked up one of these!

Hi, suhanna. I bought the Giovanni hair gel after watching your video. some time after applying the gel, the gel holds some curls but my hair becomes super dry and super crispy and some hair are still straight. What should I do to avoid the crisp and dryness? Thank you.
@SuhannaDeSilva3 жыл бұрын
Use less product, make sure you’re using a leave in conditioner underneath and scrunch out the crunch when your hair is dry. Some strands might be straighter depending on your natural pattern.

I recently bought Giovanni hair gel after watching your video but after some time after I apply it makes my hair dry and crispy what should I do?
@SuhannaDeSilva3 жыл бұрын
Use less product, emulsify it with water before applying and then scrunch out the cast when your hair is dry
@nataliecampbell33853 жыл бұрын
There's something about gels that I just love lol they always smell so fresh and light. Strong hold is always my go to, my hair is on the thicker side and literally just eats product. When I use light creams and gels it's as if I put nothing in my hair. Have you ever tried xtreme wetline gel? I've been liking that recently and it's great on a budget
@SuhannaDeSilva3 жыл бұрын
Ooo no I haven’t but I’ll look into it! I’m guessing it’s like a sports gel targeted more to men?
@nataliecampbell33853 жыл бұрын
@@SuhannaDeSilva I'm not sure if it's targeted more to men but lots of women with tighter curls use it. It's heavier than some gels but if you use dippity do I'm sure this could be an option for you.

Same. Can I get also get some of your thoughts on wavy hair shampoo function of beauty ?
@lindasue87193 жыл бұрын
Hi, Suhanna, I wonder if you or your viewers have insights/ideas: I've tried several different types of gel and they all make my hair look dull and dry after the cast is broken (if the cast is not broken, it does have that 80s shiny wet look - not saying that's bad, it just not what I'm usually aiming for...and eventually the cast breaks down on its own, anyway). After refreshing it just seems more so, and also kind of stiff (sticking out straight stiff, so not good). Not sure if that's just the way it is for my hair, or what. So I'm giving it up for now, because my hair is nice and shiny after S&C (Live Clean). Of course the wave and curl doesn't hold up. :( :( :( :( Are there any shampoos and conditioners that in themselves can enhance the waves & curls and maintain it? PS: I don't use mousse - it doesn't do much for my hair and usually makes me feel itchy. :D
