Love the absolute lack of common sense on him. Meticulously measures his powder and developer and then throws the whole cup against his scalp. Then bleaches his white ends like 3 times and is shocked when they melt off! Why bother being so precise with your measuring when you then procede to do everything wrong!!

I have a tip for everyone who needs to save some money right now. I've been doing this for a couple of years... I take my BlondeMe products to my hairdresser and she applies it properly to the roots. Then I go home and put on my toner myself. This saves me a lot of money, and my hairdresser still has a regular customer. Not every hairdresser will do this and the prices vary, so shop around.

I don’t know where you are but as a 32 year veteran hairdresser I would never do this to a client! I have had clients that have been with me 32 years and I use blonde me. You can't be mad at the products when you use them wrong, both in application (no sections) and order of use (step 2 before finished bleaching). Some hair just will not go white or even yellow. Sometimes you need a malibu or clarifying treatment after lightening to get all of the product out. I have highly treated well water. I have to malibu before lightening and before toning. I figured out that the residue on my hair from well water softener and minerals that get through the filter can interact with lightener and make it process faster so I go with 7 vol. This can also happen with build up of coconut oil / hair products. Toners and color conditioners wouldn't take unless I did a malibu before. Then bam! Vibrant even color. Lightening is temperamental science and a bit of magic.
@IamLinda_2 жыл бұрын
I agree. You don't need to add anything to Blonde Me. Blonde Me is amazing! I used it with the 20 volume Blonde Me and I only needed to do it once. I used it on dry hair and my hair was thoroughly saturated. My hair felt so soft after I was done and I had no breakage. This guy should have watched some videos first. It seems as though he has never seen a bleaching video. Even a bleach fail video could have shown him how to do it better than what he did. I'm still watching the video so maybe there's hope? Yeah... maybe not.

I don't understand the obsession with platinum blonde these days. It's as if people think there is only one type of blonde. I bleached my hair to achieve a beautiful light gold color, ala 90s grrrl band. It looks amazing with my curls and shoulder-length hair. Well, it looked amazing until I let my roots grow out enough to literally be half of my hair, but I'll let a professional fix that. 😂
@Undomaranel2 жыл бұрын
I box dye, have lucked out with it getting my now mid-brown to the gold I needed for my cosplays, and have just kept playing around with tbe different ash tones lol. The bleach blonde fad these days I think is less about the blonde and more about staying light for other colors. More and more people are trying streaks and sections of bold colors, and you need to have lighter hair for it to stick. Then there's also Kpop influence and the variety of tones for Asian hair being bleached, let alone anime and video games and such. But blonde has always been a popular color, there's just more reasons for people to try it out now than before.

It's the Targaryen Trend. People couldn't stop talking about it. This is literally where this all came from, even if people don't necessarily know it now. They may have never even watched the show, but saw a bunch of celebrities sporting the long, colorless hair, and thought it looked great. Now, it certainly functions as a way to achieve certain other colors, but most don't want to use color at all. Btw, I shouldn't have used the word, "golden" because it's actually a pale yellow-blonde. To me, golden implies more of an orange tone. Anyway, I love it. 😊

I used foils... and forgot the cardinal rule... TIME EACH SECTION!! It took so long to foil my whole head, that the back section that I did first pretty much melted off!! Lol And I am experienced enough to know better!! The broken section is finally grown out. Every month I do my roots with BLONDME. I use 30vol because I add Olaplex #1 For being bleached continuously, my hair is now is pretty good condition. I am RELIGIOUS about timing each section to get even bleaching!! These bond protecting add-ins are not exactly "copy cats". They try to do the same or at least occupy the same market niche as Olaplex, but Olaplex, to my knowledge to this day, is the only company that has developed a compound that actually has been proven to rebuild bonds in the hair as they are being destroyed by bleach. A weaker, spacially bigger, and less durable bond, but a bond none the less. And they have a patent on it, so other companies aren't even allowed to use the same chemistry, even if they knew how to. So...No. They are not all the same. Just because they all use "-plex" in their names, use similarly designed packaging, colour scheme, fonts and sales strategies, they are not equal. But that was the situation a few years ago. Maybe by now other companies have been able to make something similar without violating the patent. But not to my knowledge. All the other ones are more like alchemy, hocus pocus and promises. And of course Olaplex kind of overpromises, too. But at least they do keep part of what they are promising. And they were the first to be able to do what no other company has been able to deliver for decades, for as long as bleaching with peroxide exits: to actually reconstitute part of the bonds that would have otherwise been lost forever in the bleaching process.

I’m a licensed cosmetologist and I used Blonde Me bleach for the first time on my friend’s dark blonde hair with 20 volume developer for 45 minutes (used a timer) with foils. About five very small sections of hair broke off. For some reason they over processed and became platinum white. I was SO upset with myself. All of her other foils were fine though. 😭 I’m a perfectionist and I was beating myself up. I had to cut off about seven inches of hair on those five small strands. They all came from the first foil I did. I wanted to use 10 volume developer but the staff at Cosmo Prof thought 20 volume would lift the hair better. I told staff I was worried it would over process and I was told that wouldn’t happen if I watched the time. My friend’s hair was originally very healthy. I also used a digital scale for measuring. I sectioned the hair in four quadrants and clipped them up. I did sections for the foils that were thin enough to see through them.

My experience with Blond Me has been horrible. I am not sure if I actually got the product because I ordered it online but I do not understand the hype. That's been almost 20 years and I've been doing my own hair ever since.

I would suggest you didn't need the foils for dark blonde hair, you probably would struggled to work quickly enough. I have level 5/6 hair and it lifts to light blond uncovered with 20v (using blondeme powder and developer) in about half an hour, 40 mins.

He is cutting through box dye of black then his different bleach colors. He should have used blonde solutions with the 20 developer. Those 2 products will lift 9 levels and they don't start actually lifting until 30 minutes so you can keep it on your hair up to 2 hrs with out damaging it. Then put the platinum toner that has ingredients to keep your hair healthy. He would have been happy as he would have been platinum blonde with no damage. The hair would have came out the platinum with out the toner even
