First establish the NATURAL LEVEL, then DESIRED LEVEL; next determine the REMAINING PIGMENT COLOR, check the AMOUNT OF GRAY present, and lastly, chose the PERCENTAGE OF THE PEROXIDE. YOU MUST FOLLOW THOSE STEPS TO BE ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY COLOR HAIR. Max explains how one haircolor tube could be served as a permanent, demi-permanent or semi-permanent color. Learn how to neutralize and tone yellow toners; what base to use. Learn to choose the strength of the peroxide and processing time based on the natural level of the hair. Learn how to lift the hair with haircolor without and cancel red, yellow and orange undertones; what gets rid of red, yellow and orange. About bleach lighteners; do you need to use 40 volume or not? Use the color wheel and the 5 STEP SYSTEM OF COLOR FORMULATION to get predictable color results. Gray coverage with natural haircolor: what percentage of gray needs it with JBeverlyHills haircolor. How to make Tranclucent and opaque colors? Do blue and purple on scalp bleach make any different than white or platinum bleach? Some like slow cream bleach with multi-dimensional haircolor with highlights, lowlights and root coverage. How long does the 40V bleach last to work? Newsflash: Lower volume works great with bleach! The haircolor class is taught by Max Eli; video by BeautyHealthTravel Channel for cosmetologists, beauty school students, salon owners, hair industry professionals, hair colorists, color specialists to continuously educate themselves and make more money doing haircolor.

He answered all my problems with the coloring. I am tired of trying every color line out there, most of the time when you try to read or see in the swatch book any undertone and level you trust it and they usually don't come out as it says. i feel like been mislead from those books. Most of the time some brands level 4 goes almost black instead of chocolate brown with the longer process. I have to buy his color line, he should make videos along with it. He is very helpful, watched his videos for 3 days in a row.

If you want less damage, then do a bleach soap cap to lighten your daughter's colored dark brown hair; use one ounce of bleach, 2 ounces of 20 volume peroxide and add some shampoo to is so it will be liquid consistency, not like the bleach mixture but like a thick conditioner kind of thickness. Put it all around like you would a conditioner at the shampoo area and watch for the hair to be lifted for dark orang shade; this holds red well. If she has regrowth, do the ends first, then the roots.

Use a bleach soap cap; some bleach, water and soap; and make it liquid and apply at the shampoo bowl; ends first and immediately on the entire hair like you'll apply a conditioner; watch for development and wash out. Do not keep it on long, strand test every minute; this works fast and lifts about 3 levels.

I have a couple questions, At what level do you NOT need a filler to go darker? Ex: if someone is light med brown and wants to go dark brown.. Also, if a med brown wants to go darker, can you just add the dark color since you aren't removing pigment, or do you have to consider the underlying pigment of their natural level and of the darker color they want to be before hand?? Thanks so much. Max is awesome!!! Love your channel.. Very helpful!!

Hi. I bleached extensions. Beginning color was approximately 1b. I used powder bleach and 40 developer. Then I used a powder neural toner and power lighter. The extensions lifted to an orange color. How can I correct this? Initially the desired color was golden blonde with dimensions. At this point I really would just like to correct the orange color and whatever color I'm left with will be fine.

Hi, I have a daughter who has naturally dark brown fine hair (level 5) and I've been bleaching her hair to platinum with 20 volume BlondMe Bleach for 60 minutes, then a white toner by La Riche. We have tried 30 volume in the past but it causes more damage and breakage. But lately, the bleach has been drying out within 30 min and stops working and I've had to reapply it. It also expands away from the roots. What can I do to prevent the bleach from drying out and expanding away from the roots?

In some brands like Wella has sort of numbers like 2( Mat=green) - 1 (A=ash:blue'green) -8(preal=blue)- 9(Cendre=blue, violet) and other like Loreal has M(mat:green) A(ash: almost blue)! (*1) -Then by Wella I should to use 6.88+6.00? or 6.88+6.2n ?! As i know level 8 under ton is y/o and you used 8bb+8nn! I thought after 8 is 9 snd under tome is yello. (2*)-so you keep yellow, right? So... could you say way you used for level 2 to 6 (6 under tone= o/r) , 6bb+6aa? (3*)- I think should to keep under tone of level 7(orange) ,so (according to your previous about level 5 to 8) our formula should be 6bb+6aa(!?) is it ok? thanks

There should be an "Ask Max" channel for our hair color questions! Q1: Max said if you want to go darker or stay the same color to use 10 vol developer. But can all the regular brands cover grey using 10 vol? I don't have access to Max or JBeverly color. Q 2: If I have to use 20 vol to cover the grey (only about 25% grey the rest is a level 3 very dk brown) I don't want to lift the natural level 3 hair I just want to match as close as possible. eg: I used 4A with 20 vol on my son (level 2 virgin hair) and it did lighten. thx!
@BeautyHealthTravel
@BeautyHealthTravel 10 жыл бұрын
Yes, it works with all colors that are used with peroxide. 10 volume is used to deposit color. Gray does not have any pigment, so there is nothing to lift and it needs a color that has more depositing power. You can do a strand test first if you want to be sure.

Use leval 7-8 since your desired color is 4-5. Level 4-5 holds a lot of red, so don't use the gold you mentioned, use level 7-8 ash or neutral; the warm color will still come through from your natural color, but it will turn out nice warm brown color. Note; at level 4-5 you can hardly avoid warm tones, so don't fight it beyond using neutral or ash, which are red-busters. Hope this helps: beautyhealthtravel channe.

I have learned so much from your videos and I love your delivery and sense of humour. I need some advice please. I have 20% grey and my natural hair colour is a level 3 natural brown. I have been using Daniel Field hair colour to cover my greys but the problem is that because its deposit only, it has made the rest of my hair darker with each use even though I try to keep it to the roots only. I would love to go to a level 4 warm brown colour all all over. Would you be able to steer me in the right direction please? So in a nutshell I need to cover grey roots and lift the colour on the rest of my hair by 1 or 2 levels and give it warmth.

The best way to fix it is to go to a hairdresser because it is a corrective color procedure. Once your hair goes darker with artificial haircolor, even if it is a demi deposit, it will not lighten with haircolor, only with a lightener, even if you want a level or two lift. The best way is to do a bleach soap cap (little bleach+peroxide+shampoo) that goes all over the hair (roots last) like you would apply a conditioner and is washed in a minute or two. When the deposited color lightens, you can just do the roots and match the ends. But, the best way to fix it is to go to a hairdresser, because all depends on the hair's current condition: the texture, porosity, your body heat, etc., for my advice to work; if not, the hairdresser would assess your hair condition and would also have more products and hair treatments to address the problem. Hope this helps; but there is no quick magic fix.

I'm confused..to neutralise yellow and orange tones is blue/violet..but how do you know what colours,numbers are blue/violet or does he mean concentrate blue/violet ..say add an inch to a 7 to create a natural level 7 on an orange gold tint?when someone wants to go back to there natural colour of a 7
@BeautyHealthTravel

Each color company has a letter for the blue (usually B) and violet (V) so it would be 7B or 7V for level seven. You can use the color chart to see which letter they use for those two color bases. Also, they could have blue and violet additives or concentrated kickers/boosters that you can add to your color. BeautyHealthTravel channel.

And would it only neutralize the yellow? How to get level 10 on ash?? To be honest I cant see in any bran double violets in light and super light blondes which is weird because in those lightests blondes we need to neutrilize yellow.
