I’ve watched several barbers that call their videos tutorials, yet they never explain what their doing, I appreciate that he explains every cut he makes, PLUS, no loud background music and no quizzes that flash on the screen with such speed that one doesn’t have time to read it, and, not sure what those quizzes have to do with barbering. @@shash-e7f Hi. I’m still growing it yes. It’s at my shoulders now, so past the awkward stage now. It took forever!! To be honest though, I’m getting fed up of it already.. I tie it up and wear a cap when I’m at work and out and about most of the time. I only really let my hair down when I’m chilling at home.

Wow this stylist absolutely crushed it with this cut. It’s hard to find barbers/stylists who know what they’re doing with long hair without going to a salon. It’s challenging to push through the awkward stage when growing out your hair out and you don’t want someone to completely butcher it when you’ve waited so long to grow some length. This stylist knew exactly what to do and had great execution.

while i understand the strategy behind this cut, I think it'll will take forever to grow out the hair this way. He cut a lot more off the back than I thought he would. It does look cleaner but less full. Less long.

True but that’s a sacrifice to make so it don’t look bad, and actually formally grow up in the way the person wants to, it helps a lot to have this hair cut to determine then u can let it grow for a good time, so when it’s the way you wanted it to be you can do some maintenance cuts sometimes if you want to, but with a cut it looks way better ngl I need one

I always get nervous when a stylist says they're gonna take length off the top or thin out my hair when I'm growing out. Usually cause it won't sit right since I've got straight asian hair. This maintenance cut was spot on though, great job man!

I recently got something similar, only it's like a super minimal undercut a little lower by the occipital. You can't see it unless I put it in a bun and otherwise it looks less bulky in the back and still shaped and full on top.

I take after the Polish side of my family, as far as my eye color, and I look more like my father (RIP), but I THANK God that I was somehow blessed with hair from the Sicilian side of my family! I guess that thing about "your mother's father" proves true in my case! My maternal grandfather lived to 92... Had a full head of mostly black hair! Only one of my uncles (mom's oldest brother) was slightly balding on the crown of his head, whereas my dad had very thin hair, most of the Polish side of my family had male pattern baldness... Even my paternal *grandmother* (due to "Graves disease"/overactive thyroid) had extremely thin hair, and started wearing a wig in her mid-30s... She wasn't bald, but she had "baby hair" ...she lived to be 100, God bless her, and when I would visit her she would always ask me to bring "your contraption" (hair clippers w/ a #3 or #4 guard, so her hair wouldn't stick out from her wig. I have super thick hair AND a "unibrow" (actually a "T" brow, as it grows down my nose!).

May be time for a little trim just like this one. If the ends are damaged then you may need a little more off than in this. It's also important to maintain a good routine with longer hair. Conditioning and maintaining moisture is vital for growing healthy longer hair!
