Why does it only last two washes? Is it a soft bar?
@HairDeLaCreme2 жыл бұрын
Sort of soft. But not hard like a dove soap bar. Idk what can be added to make it hard. I’m not a chemist. I was following steps from another video and decided to give it a shot.

These look awesome and so easy to make. Is goat's milk moisturizing?
@HairDeLaCreme3 жыл бұрын
Yup. The goat milk is enriched with cream that is excellent for dry hair and scalp. The protein in goat milk helps to strengthen damaged hair.

Amazing recipe. Is there any residue from the powders when you wash your hair?
@HairDeLaCreme3 жыл бұрын
None at all. It’s definitely a staple for my wash routine

I love the idea of a shampoo bar but that ph is killer on my hair. I’m curious if you lower the ph although it lessens the effectiveness of the soap it shouldn’t affect the herbs…. Great idea tho

I love using those powders from India. Have you tried bhringraj...

No I haven’t. I’ll add it to my list.

Which soap base do u use it? Can I use any white soap get in Walmart like ivory n dial?? Please reply ..
@mysticari8928 Жыл бұрын
I make mine the same way. But it last for a couple months i wash my hair 2 times a week add cocoa butter and kokum 1 tsp each makes the bar harder
@KennieMarshall Жыл бұрын
The reason why you only get one or 2 Wash and no room of oils is because your using too much powder to melted soup. I think 1 tsp for 4 powders and only 1 cup of melted soap is messing up the ratio. Try half tsp.

Looks like a great recipe! Just one question, what is the clay doing? Is it to treat the hair in some way?
@HairDeLaCreme2 жыл бұрын
add moisture to the hair and removes toxins from the scalp

If you want to add any oils you have to find out from the manufacturer what percentage the soap will hold or it will not set correctly. I will try this recipe soon, Im tired of the bathroom being filled up with shampoo bottles.

what is the pH on this bar?
@Simplyyfreed2 жыл бұрын
Is this pH balanced? How did you balance it?
@ntonioproductions15912 жыл бұрын
what are the actual quantities you use? you said a tablespoon of each powder for 2 bars, and for 6 bars that adds up to 37.5g each, time 5 powders = 187.5g of powder, plus 368g of soap to fill the 6 soap bars. however, I ended up with a mixture that is basically just powder! i can't even mix it all up. can you post the actual quantities please?

Is there a difference between melt and pour soaps and just a regular unscented soap bar?
@TracyD22 жыл бұрын
It’s similar but made slightly different so it can melt easier. Melt and pour is made with lye, oils and;or butters, glycerin, alcohol plus many other additives depending on what you want. Cold processed regular soap is basically lye and oils/butters plus additives if you want. Then there is Syndet soap which is made with surfactants like SLeS and many many other choices for cleansing but not with a lye and oil saponification reaction.

Looks absolutely amazing ! What about pH?

Can I add the powders while the melt and pours are still on the stove
@HairDeLaCreme3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can
@childofgodforever6614 Жыл бұрын
Avoid using soap base for shampoo bars. The pH is high and can damage your hair. Use a Syndopour base with a neutral pH instead

What benefit does spraying 70% alcohol provide? Does it act as a preservative?
@HairDeLaCreme3 жыл бұрын
To help solidify the soap. Saw that method in another video.

What do you mean shampoo bar last for two washes? You mean it's done after you wash your hair twice?!

Yes

This is soap, not shampoo. Soap is not good for your hair.
