Yea, her hair was gorgeous. But no need to kill, babe. Use oils and masks religiously instead lol. Use lots of heat protectants, get oil treatments you put in your hair 30mins prior to every wash (check Indonesian, Korean, Japanese brands for some good ones that don’t break the bank), apply moisturizing products after you do wash (natural oils that do well on the hair paired with leave-in hydration boosting creams/conditioners), don’t over wash the hair, try not to blow dry or use a lot of heating tools … air dry and heatless curls if possible. You can turn any damaged hair into something really shiny after a couple months of care. Trust me. I’ve got long hair down to my waist. It’s virgin and real fine (prone to tatting) … but there is still split ends and damage (I’ve cut 7” off recently but need to cut more to be totally “healthy”), but when I use oils and masks, I can run my hands through it without any knotting and have a lot of shine that doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it appear oily/greasy. Like silk with the way lighting hits it. When I don’t use them after a few days, I can tell a major difference. It begins to look dull and flat. Whether curly, wavy, straight, thick, fine, virgin, bleached, colored, heavily damaged … oils and masks will do wonders with consistency, which is key. Can’t undo damaged hair unless you cut it, but you can help make it appear a lot better.

Sara made me nostalgic. I had her hair until I was about 19 or 20. I went to a friend's stylist who was the sweetest ever woman from the Philippines. I told her go to brushing the shoulder, but she wouldn't. She said one of her worst personal traumas as a stylist was cutting a long-haired girl's hair as short as she requested. The girl then sobbed and cried for a long time. She agreed to bra-line and said if I was still wanting shoulder length in 2 weeks, to come back. She first cut about 4 or 5 inches and stopped. She made me brush it and all and made sure I wouldn't cry. Then she went to mid-back and stopped. I was not even acting sad and asked her to go to shoulder. She considered and then did it. I was very happy and have never gone long again.

Yassss!! My mom cut my hair til I was 12. I told her she she wasn't ever allowed to do it again! I have super naturally curly hair and she would cut it as if it were straight. I got 9 or more inches cut off when I was 13. Went into a pixie cut the first time. Loved it. I felt so free and the heat from my hair disappeared. I have extremely thick hair and it’s black, so it just soaked in so much heat in the sun that it feels like your putting your hand on a stove burner when touched. Never went back to long hair and I’m still doing pixie cuts. Love it

With the second girl who mentioned about how hair can keep either positive or negative energy, that really resonated with me! When i was little (about 9-ish) i had never gotten a haircut before so I had hair down to my mid-thigh and I was also severely bullied all through elementary school and one of the things the kids would do is yank on my hair really hard so right before I went into middle school I cut 18 inches off of my hair and my hair was still about down to my chest and felt SO much relief from that. But word of caution, pleaseee don't cut your hair whenever you feel bad about yourself, cause I got into that habit and now it's become an unhealthy obsession for me so I'm working to grow it back out again and hopefully maybe resolve some bad memories from my past in the process :)

My younger sister had waist length hair and she’s was BRUTAL with it so when she came home for Christmas break we started up till like 2:30am and I was telling her she should just cut it and she grabbed some scissors and told me to cut it off So she went from waist length to shoulder length and it completely changed her whole look and it looks SOO MUCH BETTER and seeing how happy she was made it so much better

omggg i love thisssss i went through the same thing a few years ago! it was crazy, i guess i had no idea of how long my hair was, it was like lower back/waist then i went shoulder length. it truly is life changing. first time i passed by a mirror whitout paying attention i was like "oh my god is this me?" and my self esteem went over the moon! never going back to that length even tho my mom prays i will change my mind hahah if you're deciding if you're gonna do it or not, DO IT!!!!

I just want to say, if Brad love(s)d the fact that these girls in the video (besides the last one) just went for it, you would have loved my hair “transformation”. I had butt length hair and wanted to cut my hair into a “Boy’s cut”. Of course my parents were mortified and told me to cut it little by little to make sure I wouldn’t regret. It every time I got a hair cut, my smile got bigger and bigger until I finally got it to the “boy cut” I wanted and I have never felt more free. I absolutely love the hair style and keep it short.
