Hey Curtis, I'm a long time lurker (2-3 years now) and I finally had the courage to look into options because wearing a hat everywhere in my 30s isn't realistic anymore. I went somewhere local and told them i want the most realistic hairline (exposed). She said it would be a swiss lace system, bleached knots, and very undetectable. Ended up with what seems like a French lace system, Swiss lace front with unbleached knots and a cost of $500 for the unit itself. Needless to say I cannot expose my hairline without it looking completely fake. The ghost bond was lifting in the back and part of the front on the first day. I'm a little discouraged at the moment and I knew I should've just ordered from your site. When I have the funds available again and work the courage up, I'm definitely ordering from your site. I wanted to thank you for putting out so much helpful information and truly giving good advice regardless if they are your personal customer or not. You're a stand up guy! Looking forward to ordering. Take care

Thanks for the great tips! I disagree with the flap in the back, tho. I usually wear my pieces 5-7 months and always leave a little flap in the back as "reserve", for when I need to cut a few millimeters off the hairline. After a while the hairline will lose hairs, and you'll be left with just the poly base, which looks awful. I cut the front with zigzag scissors to avoid the cookie cutter straight line. If you wear your hair slightly longer, the back flap isn't noticeable and it won't ever lift unless you're in a tornado.

Thank you so much for all the insights you are sharing here! I am about to get my first proper system installed after walking around with a monofil for a year. I will do it with a studio in order to get a template done as well. Now the question is which base to use. After watching your videos I tend to use a swiss lace instead of a poly as my starter. But I have two open questions: 1) Should I get a PU perimeter (side and back) in order to have easier handling with stripes? 2) In your videos you mention that it is a must that the knots are being bleached in the front for a lace system. Now the studio is telling me that this will drastically reduce the expected life-span of the unit and that it is not necessary since when using bond in the front you will not see the knots so heavily anyways. Is that true? Any expereicnes would help me out here.
@HairExperience4 жыл бұрын
Hey, they are correct about it reducing the life of the knots and the system. This is why we only focus on the front edge. We do bleach the entire unit knots but focus more on the front. The statement about the glue covering the knots is not true. It would take way too much glue. It just doesnt work that way. Just tell them what you expect going into this, that way you do not have any false hopes for what to expect

Hi Curtis, I bought this product on Amazon for my husband to use every morning and night. It’s inexpensive and worked well for him. It’s called Eye Reboot Serum by QRxLabs. It isn’t a permanent fix but applied one or twice daily under eyes can help lessen the water retention in this area. Four common causes of under eye bags: fluid retention in the region, localized adipose (migrates from supporting eye tissues down as we age), collagen depletion in body, and allergy/inflammation response. This products helps with first and last. The second would require a plastic surgeon’s touch. Taking daily collagen supplementation is a big benefit for many reasons. Custom Collagen Peptide Powder is high quality and well priced on Amazon. We use 1 scoop daily in our protein shake. Give the serum a try. Sandy

Great video. Like many others, I've been watching your videos for quite sometime. Unfortunately I'm now at the stage where I need a hair replacement system as I was overusing toppik to cover my bald spots. I've just purchased my first hair replacement system from Lordhair. I know you did use them at some point but decided to switch suppliers. I managed to buy the French lace at a reasonable price and as its going to be my first time wearing the system, I didn't want to purchase something too expensive. I have the momentous task of fitting it myself as salons here in London are still closed. I have a couple questions. 1) tape or glue for the French lace and which tape or glue brand would you recommend? 2) shampoo? Conditioner? 3) what should I use to style my hair? I want to use a product that won't damage my hair replacement system too much. Ive used wax in the past on my genetic hair Thanks in advance and keep up the great work. Without your content I would not be doing this. BTW your hair system in this video looks so natural and spot on.

Any solutions for itching Sir, thanks
@HairExperience3 жыл бұрын
Hi, typically itching is a few things 1) the unit has been on too long and needs to be removed and cleaned 2) whatever bond or tape is not agreeing with your skin type and a different one should be used. Normal conditions (without a hair unit) people scratch their head over 100 times a day. So itching of the head is normal but if its excessive please review 1 and 2

Hello Curtis, First of all, let me tell you that i enjoy watching your videos very much. They are very helpful and interesting. So thank you for that. Second, i have a couple of questions that i hope you can answer for me. I am getting a new unit. Front lace, Poli sides and back. The unit i have now, i take off every evening. The new unit im getting, it's supposed to stay on for about a week before taking it off for maintenance. Here is the issue: I have very oily hair (scalp) and besides that, i work out everyday (just before putting on my unit). So my question is: Do you recommend anything that can help me with this problem? I was told that if i were to take off the new unit everyday, that it could cause premature damage than if i take it off every week-2 weeks for cleaning. I don't think im comfortable with walking around with my oily sweaty head for 1 to 2 weeks! :( Any tips would be appreciated. The second question i have is: How do i keep the hair back without it coming down on my face all the time? i see your unit hair stays neatly on top of your hair. The unit I have has medium long hair. I have tried hairspray, mouse, curling iron, you name it to keep the hair up, but it just comes back down later in the day. The style i chose was a style that you could comb your hair in any direction you want... Im not sure if this is why. Maybe i should have chosen for part to the side, the middle or even hair back? I'm hoping you can shed some light in what i could do to help these two issues. Thanks again, say safe and well Erick
@HairExperience4 жыл бұрын

What about full head covering systems. Could you please make a video about them and try for us if it's possible? :)) I think when it comes to realness, they work the best. However, there are limited resources for them.

You want him to spend hundreds of dollars and shave his entire head?
@tahaoz21224 жыл бұрын
@@DanielRoberts420 I realize it sounds radical. But maybe he will like it too and choose to go this way for sometime. Because i think full head systems are ignored, however, they give the most promising results. Plus dealing with them is easier.

@@DanielRoberts420 At least he might share his opinions regarding this topic. Because he is some kind of expert. So i would love to hear from him :)

@@tahaoz2122 The hair on the back and sides of his hair is too good for him to go full cap. Full cap isn't easier to deal with, it's way more expensive and there's more maintenance, but at least you don't have to worry about the blend with your real hair. It's a good idea if your hair is super thin and crap. I might end up losing more hair on the sides of my head
@tahaoz21224 жыл бұрын
@@DanielRoberts420 @C.J yeah it costs more. But i am not sure if maintenance is more difficult. Yeah It is a little more challenging when re-attaching during maintenance however you don't have to worry about its cut and blend. When u consider together, it could be a good alternative. Because partial systems can reveal themselves especially in the back even when you behave a little reckless. Even for curtis, i have seen many times of misblend in previous videos especially when you look at the back of his head.
