Welcome to my KZbin channel Hairliciously. In this channel, I will be taking you on a journey of my FUE hair transplant progress. Towards the end of November 2016, I had a 1700 FUE hair transplant done in South Korea at Motion Clinic (en.motionclinic.kr) to lower my hairline and to fill in my receding temples. The FUE hair transplant procedure took me about 7-8 hours to complete and cost me approximately $5000 USD.
I will be doing daily updates on my hair transplant progress, so feel free to subscribe and ask any questions you have. Thanks for visiting!
Please like, comment and subscribe! :)
======================================
Products I am using to supplement my FUE hair transplant:
1. HAIRLICIOUSLY Dr Pen 1.5mm 1-2x a week. (temples and hairline)
2. HAIRLICIOUSLY Hair Growth Supplement 2x a day
3. Minoxidil (Rogaine) - Minoxidil slows hair loss progression and promotes hair regrowth. I've noticed that using Minoxidil helped me grow my transplanted hairs a lot more quicker.
4. Pumpkin Seed Oil 1000 mg + HAIRLICIOUSLY Vitamins
5. HAIRLICIOUSLY Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)SHAVED MY HEAD: • I SHAVED MY HEAD AGAIN...

@@adog433 How long are you in on fin? I'm 3 months and I think I'm gonna continue because it is a long-term fight, however, in order to win I will have to implement new measures. I've been doing research and have found that onion juice not only helps regrow new hair but also helps reduce scalp DHT to some extent. I tried the onion method before and saw a massive reduction in hair loss in a few days, however, i got lazy and stopped, but I've made more today so will start once again. The best thing about this is that its natural and if you stop you don't lose the hair you grow unlike minoxidil (Btw according to this one study I read some time ago onion juice is just as effective if not slightly more for hair growth and regrowth as minoxidil)

I'm a female, I've been taking minoxidil for over 2 years and I also went through a shedding phase which can be even worse than on Finasteride. At that time, I had quite a lot of hair which means my shedding phase was way worse, and more visible compared to men here and could last longer as I had tons of hair, it did last for around 2 months. So if you are still losing your hair after 6- 8 months, something is not right and probably it doesn't work.

I have been taking (minoxidil and finasteride) in one serum on my receeding hairline, up front around my forehead area... It's been two months of taking this serum. Most nights. I noticed my receeding hairline push HIGHER up now. So the hairs that were not shedding/they were thick and well grown out hairs. They have now fallen off giving me an EVEN larger forehead. It's so bad. I don't want to meet my friends or leave my house. My derm told me to keep taking it. My biggest fear is that this serum will make my hair loss even worse and wont grow it back. I'm 26 years old. Female. Most likely lost hair due to stress and anxiety. Been managing my stress. Also my derm didn't give me a diagnosis for my hair loss. They just know I have anxiety and pretty much gave me this (mino and finast) serum. Help please. They're non native english some derms will only tell you things so you can keep going to them and buy more of their products. I would love to hear what you guys think.

Keep at it: I’m shedding too, but it’s normal. Unfortunately depending where you are in the hair cycle when you started it could last only a month or up to 6-9. Maybe even a year at the longest, but to get results you gotta lose the hair a bit. So for reference, im not shedding 1000 hairs, but about 25-50. Some days it’s around 10. Im only 1.5 months in. Same as you, Minox/fin spray. Ps; I’ve come to the conclusion based on my research that if you’re shedding, it means you’re a good-great responder. So it’s a good sign.

Hi! be careful, I don't know if your dermatologist has told you this, but finasteride is not recommended for people with a uterus (assuming you are a cis woman), because it prevents the person from getting pregnant in the future. I am 24, noticed hair was falling out around my crown, none of my friends over the years have said they can see a difference in now compared to how I used to be. When I awkwardly ask them to look at my scalp and see if it looks any different they say it doesn’t look the same but that I shouldn’t worry bc no one can tell I’m losing my hair. Where I’m least wanting to lose my hair is my bangs. My bangs come down to my eyebrows and I have to flip my hair like Justin Bieber did which has always been my hairstyle but I have to brush it over more so now to cover up some of the forehead that can now be seen through my bangs. I’ve been on finasteride consistently for the last 3-4 weeks and have noticed I’m shedding rather badly over the last 4 days. I was also using minoxidil on and off for 2 weeks but couldn’t stick to it bc my hair became so stiff and didn’t want to deal with that. I only use finasteride. I know I cannot expect 100%+ hair regrowth. I WAS however expecting to stop losing my hair as much around 3 months on finasteride. Obviously I haven’t been on it that long yet but I didn’t realize there was a shedding phase so it caught me off guard this week. Anyways, my question is what reasonable ball park figure can I work with as far as % of hair I will have relative to when I started going down the line. I am deathly afraid (and stressing far too much) that I will use finasteride and I will bald quicker and only keep what I have left after 3-4 months. I want some of what I have lost and will continue to lose back. I’ve lost a fair amount but I am a redhead so I don’t see too many hairs fall out but I started to a couple days ago. I don’t like working with the “83% of men noticed ____ after 3-4 months” I will always feel like I’m in that unlucky 17% for example. What do I need to understand more clearly so I won’t stress as much. I need a reason for hope.

@Jake-nl3er Жыл бұрын
If liquid Minodoxil is too messy, switch to oral, which is more effective anyway. You can actually get a fin and min all in one pill. Don't worry, it will all grow back, if you were a part of the small percentage that fin doesn't work on, then I don't believe you would have shed at all. Shedding means its working, and all those hairs that shed will grow back stronger. The bigger the shed, the better the results. Stick through it and you will be grateful for the rest of your life.

@@2persona so I’ve been on it for close to 4 1/2 months now and I rarely ever see my hair fall out like it did in the first couple of months. I haven’t noticed any hair regrowth but I can definitely say it isn’t falling out nearly as much as it was when I wasn’t on it and I don’t regret starting it. I did NOT stay in minoxidil though. Just finasteride 1 mg once a day. The shedding phase, for me, occurred between the 1 month in and lasted for about a month and a half. So 2 1/2 months in my case was when I started to see less and less hair fall out. I do have red hair so it’s a lot lighter and harder to see at times but in all honesty, I feel like I lose less hair now than ever in my life. I twist my hair for some reason and that’s the only time I ever see it fall out. I hardly ever see loose hair fall out if I shook my hair everywhere to try to make it fall out. It hasn’t regrown anything but it has reinforced the strength of what I have remaining after 2 1/2 months from starting. For anyone thinking about doing it, I would 100% recommend doing it (finasteride) from my personal experience with it. They say it works for 83% of men so I can’t say it will work for everyone but trust me it did for me. I was the one saying “knowing my luck I’ll be that unlucky 17% it doesn’t work for…” well, I was wrong. I went from “this stuff probably doesn’t do anything at all” to “now that I think about it I haven’t seen nearly as much hair falling out.” It will slowly over that 1/2 month period (starting with the beginning of 2 months in) fall out less and less. At least that was the case for me. I feel more confident with it (I started early but still). To help anyone that feels hopeless, I am not supposed to stand a chance at retaining my hair. Literally *everyone* in my family like is bald. My dad is bald Uncle is bald Grandfather is bald Other grandfather is bald My family like has it out for the guys in my family but it has worked for me so far. I don’t think it’s just a placebo effect (me thinking it’s working but in truth the pills do nothing) I truly believe from what I’ve seen it works. 100% recommend getting started asap Also* I have missed a day here and there several times. *Never two days in a row* but I have probably missed 5 or 6 days since November or so. I don’t think it makes a difference in missing a couple days. Although I just take it first thing when I wake up so I don’t forget.

@@thataggiekid Thank you so much for taking your time to respond to me. That in depth review has given me a lot of confidence :) About 5 months ago, I was having a shower and noticed that a lot of hair was stuck to my hands when I was washing it. This never used to happen and really scared me. I never really took much thought to it but one day I was styling my hair (I have really bushy and curly hair) and I noticed that I could see through it. Like literally I would look in the mirror and I could partially see what was behind me through my hair. My hair had thinned that bad I realised that if I didn’t do something soon, I would be bald. I got some caffeine shampoo and rosemary hair oil after that washed my hair with it and applied the oil every 2 days. However, even though I did notice a significant amount of hair regrowth from this, I would still see alot of hair falling out in showers. That’s when I found out about finasteride. I’ve been on it for 1 week and i’ve washed my hair roughly 4 times so far. I have noticed a major decrease in hair loss already. I will definitely be staying on it but i’m kinda nervous about this whole shedding period a few months in.

bruh my hair is always dry so min actually help me stylize my hair and keep it oily in a way that seems natural. also most guys use way more minoxidil than needed,since they cant apply it right ot the scalp and it gets on the hair itself and keeps it wet and causing all these issues. take your time, use a logical amount of dosage and try to spread it to the SCALP. if hair is long then try seperating it bits by bits and then applying in small amounts. WORKS EVERY TIEM. pls dont overuse. its a drug. it really works. most get paranoid and wanna see results fast by applying generous amounts but that wont help. be mindful.

On 9 months of finasteride and it's wreaked havoc on my hairline. Previously, I was gradually thinning and receding at the hairline but was completely fine on my crown area. Now, my hairline is rapidly receding at the hairline (crown is still fine). I firmly believe fin only works for the crown, not for the hairline. I also think it's completely ineffective or even harmful to a significantly higher percentage of people than the so called "experts" would like you to believe. Finasteride somehow destroys the hairline. Too many anecdotal experiences for this to be a one-off coincidence. Different areas of the scalp obviously have different sensitivities to specific hormones. I think the crown area is more sensitive to DHT while maybe the hairline area is more sensitive to testosterone or estradiol (E2). So for example, if you take fin, you're reducing T converting to DHT, and therefore increasing T (and free T). And when you increase testosterone, your estrogen will naturally increase as well unless you're taking an aromatase inhibitor. Therefore you have both an increase in testosterone as well as estrogen. Perhaps this is what attacks the hairline. So called "hair experts" are nothing more than parrots that repeat the same things you can google in 10 seconds. They are experts in nothing and have no clue when something goes beyond the "standard protocol".

@@simpslayer4793 it depends on your sensitivity to the drug. I am not a urologist, endocrinologist or neurologist. It is a drug that causes a hormonal imbalance. If you are going to take the drug you should check your hormones before starting to have a reference point and then periodically continue to monitor the levels. Even so, the results can be in normal values and yet develop a gynecomastia (for example, which would be an unpleasant external effect but proof that other devastating things are happening inside). I think it is playing Russian roulette and in the long term nobody knows yet what effects on the prostate having been taking an alpha reductase inhibitor for many years ... maybe the androgenic receptors of your prostate become more sensitive to androgens and you develop hyperplasia prematurely or even hypogonadism..I don't know. but it's just my opinion. When i stopped, hair loss rate went back to what it was before i started propecia, but it destroyed my hairline, which never grew back. I tried propecia again at age 29, no shedding, and it kept things fairly stable...ended up stopping because my GF didn't care about hair and I felt it reduced my sex drive. Was my 8 month shed because it messed with my hormones the wrong way or was it a super long shed that if I just stuck with it, hair would have grown back even stronger? I've had Doctors suggest both, but without the blood tests I'll never know. Get blood tests so you can really see what's going on 1)testosterone free and total 2) DHT 3)DHEAS 4) Androstendione.

@muskoks5385
@muskoks5385 3 жыл бұрын
Yes of course. The prostate doesn't produce any androgens by itself, but is acted upon by androgens, hence Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia being a thing. If you removed your prostate but kept the balls you would still have gonadal and adrenal gland production of androgens and their precursors, which would include testosterone which would 5a-reduce into DHT and would keep the process of balding going.

@@fg8512 it’s not the fault of the drug. Your DHT levels could be far stronger than finasteride hence why giving you no results.

@@Ozzyozzysheesh look, I’m 17. My hairline is worse than my father’s. My hair is thin and I need to cover my bald spots every day. I don’t want to be bald. If I didn’t take fin I would be bald 100%. If I do take it there is a high chance that I could keep my hair with me.
