The first three days following a hair transplant procedure are crucial because the grafts can become dislodged by simply tugging, pulling, or bumping the grafts. The telltale sign of a lost graft is bleeding. If blood is present when the grafts are still fresh, the grafts have most likely been lost.

Hell yes! Definitely need more awareness placed on being extra careful to not hit head on something, scratch, towel dry hair by accident, sleeping correctly etc. Sounds like a no brainer but you'll be surprised how easy it is to do something wrong. It's also extremely important to be well rested and have a relaxed way back home

After second transplant, I wore an oversized hat when grocery shopping. As I bounced outside of the driver seat of my van the hat bounced with my head when I removed it there were 2-3 grafts in the stitching. End of the world after a 2000 graft FUE? No. Was I pissed at myself and the instructions from the doctor about hats preventing sunburn, yes. Oh well, life goes on. There was bleeding , yes

This video is life saving -I am going through the same predicament. My bump was on the side (not on implants) and it still managed to cause bleeding at two sites. Yes, it can happen to the best of us and losing one or two grafts is not going to be the end of the world nor it should be a death sentence to an otherwise likely successful procedure -as you very well exemplified.

My front is naturally OK, and you can't tell from the front that I have a bald patch on the back/top of my head. It grew OK, but I need another visit to send a second transplant done to get some more thickness. I say, I got 25% improvement so far.

Day 4 I leaned forward in drivers seat scraping about 10 grafts with sun visor. The recipient area of the transplanted hair was dark red from dried blood. The area where I scraped turned white (skin scraped) but no grafts were removed. None that I noticed at least. If you lose a few it’s not the end of the world.

This happened to me when I was in the car too. They should really warn us about cars after hair transplant. I ended up bleeding and lost 1 or 2 grafts from what we could tell. Even drove back to the clinic, hoping they could place it back in but they couldn't find it when they cleaned it up (suss) but ok. It felt like I lost a child, but I got 3600 grafts in place and it was towards the back, so I think ill live. It was honestly a relief getting it cleaned tho, I didn't want it to get further infections or something,.

Dude I did exactly that had 24 flight from Turkey to Colombia finally arrive crib and right when I get out of the cab banged myself right in the center of the head. Took a graft that had three hair out and I litterly took a shower to see what happened and took the graft pushed it back in as mush as i could went to sleep and my wound was sealed. thanx for the video, very informative for me since I am fresh from hair and beard transplant in Turkey...I was very careful not to hit my head anywhere and havent wore any hats or smth like that... but what worrys my is the pain that came like 3 days after procedure and it is in my donor area...is this normal? i contacted clinic they basically said "well, each patient is different"....it's a very hard pain and feels like someone is ripping my hair out and feels like tightening of a skin, so I just wondered if this is normal because I am on pain killers for 4 days now, just cant bare the pain (strange enough I could resist pain from injections that they stabbed me in my head for numbing the area). and second question is, how long before I can wear a helmet to be sure that I wont damage any hair and slow down the growth process? someone says 3 weeks, others say 2 months? can you please clear that up for me if possible because I really love riding my motorcyle 😁 thanx, and keep up the good work

Very interesting. I’ve personally have had different post procedure guidance: back in the day my old doctor said to let the scabs fall on their own and my latest suggested to remove them on day 10. Horrible experience! I hope that dash was soft touch 🤣

Hey I had my scabs removed on the 11th day but there wasn't any discomfort. First they put some Turkish medical hair foam for 20min to make them softer and then after 20 min they put medical shampoo and light scrubbing made them come right off. In your case they probably tried to do them directly without softening them

Hi, one question, on day 39 (5.5 weeks) after my hair transplant, I hit my head violently while getting out of the car. Exactly the recipient area on the tonsure was affected. It didn't bleed! But afterwards I had a pulling and stabbing sensation. After a day no more complaints. The grafts may have experienced trauma here and may have been destroyed by the trauma. The grafts have not yet attached themselves to the bloodstream for a long time. Should I be worried? Thank you

Most of things you explained happened to me (healed ok without any blood, hits or smth simmilar, scabs fallen off from beard even in first 7 days, and from head within 15, my hair started to shed even i didnt know that it will happen, at the clinic they havent told me), then it stopped for a while, but in the past few days i started having some strange shedding in scalp but also in beard 😑😑😑 almost like small breakages of hair and that hair is straight like a drum stick, and some are a bit shaped like normal hair, some of them are very very small some are longer but what worries me is that at some of them is that white bulb at the end and that is really freaking me out 😦😦😦😦 Can you please tell me is this normal? Follicles can't fall out right, so this must be the roots or either sebum at the end of hair shaft? mind you, i am very agressive when washing my head and beard daily, want to get the blood circulation going. And since I ran out of supplies they gave me at clinic, I bought Alpecin C1 shampoo for scalp, Alpecin caffeine tonic (using it only on my beard plus ARGAN oil), multivitamins, 5000mcg of biotin, and Panthenol spray and Saw Palmetto spray 15% for head scalp. Is it ok to use all this or should I change something? Really appreciate your time, thank you my friend.

I’m 3 months in and as new hair sprout I get dead skin coming off still. But one was hurting and the hair fell out with a small chunk of skin with 2-3 hairs in the skin. Is that a graft? I did not hit my head.

Just got into a horrible car wreck at 7 days in. Car total not at fault. Also had my procedure done at Eugenix. Lightly scraped corner temple a bit although did not leak blood. Should I be concerned ?

Just hit a bit my hairline 3days after transplant ;( got so sad. i had 3 litte blood dots (prob lost 3-4 grafts? ) thats liek 3-4 hairs? so it wont make a difrence i hope ;( thank you for claming me

Is it possible that you could lose a graft without external bleeding but actual bleeding under the skin? I got lasik on day 2 post hair transplant and the laser eye surgeon pressed down on my recipient area to push me out of the laser machine. There was no bleeding but it did feel slightly painful and my scalp became more red

Hi everyone I'm on the 10 days of my hair transplant I was washing the scarb but I saw few hairs in my hand while washing the scarb is it normal or l lost the grafts advice please 🙄🙄

On day 10,grafts are secure no need to worry. You only lose grafts when you bleed in the first 7 or 8 days.

But if i scratch my head after 30 days will it dislodge or kill the graft of that area where i scratched with my nails?? There was no bleeding but some hair with dead skin came out when i scratch…plz reply i am worried
