もともとハイスイノナサが好きでこのPVが出た当時に見て、視覚化された個々の音の表現に「凄く分かる」という漠然とした感想からずっとお気に入りで何度も見ていたんだけど、ようやく昨年共感覚というものがあると知り自分が色聴メインの共感覚保有者であると自覚し、まさかこのPVは…と確認したらやっぱり制作者が共感覚者だった。 何というか、ハッとした。非共感覚の場合どれぐらいに共有できる音の表現なのかは分からないし、同じ共感覚者でも音に聴く形や質は少しずつ違うものだとは思うけど、少なくとも自分自身の共感覚から得られる形や質にはどれもこれも物凄く近い、というよりもそのままこう聴こえるぐらいのものだった。 丁度今共感覚による絵を描いていたけど、思い出して確認してよかった。共感覚をこんな風に活かせるのかとハッとした。本当に素敵なPVをありがとうございます。

It's honestly hard to categorize Haisuinonasa's music. The closest genre would be Math Rock, but even then that doesn't do their pieces much justice. You should see Yoshimasa Terui's works. He composed songs for Haisuinonasa, sora tob sakana, siraph, and other musicians with (almost) a similar tune to this one. I've yet to find bands that have the same sound and feel as Haisuinonasa, though. They're on a different level. EDIT: There's a playlist on Spotify called 「照井順政 Works」, you guys should check it out!

It's a combination of the Japanese phrase 背水の陣 Haisui no jin which means 'last stand' and NASA (space ships and all that). Yes, it doesn't make much sense and it's not supposed to.
