I tried to visit Haiti years ago with my husband who wanted to see his family and that was no outside interference threatening ppl with kidnapping from the time you land at the airport. The amount of violence, intimidation and discrimination amongst your own people was astonishing. These were not white ppl, they were Haitians killing women, children… not able to have a functioning government because they make money in lawlessness. Luckily my mother in law was able to leave, l thought the kidnapping and fear was an exaggeration but it was not. Organizing to create political parties was not what was happening, but organized and unorganized crime was the goal, a financial goal.
