Sky News' chief correspondent Stuart Ramsay reports from Port-au-Prince in Haiti, where bodies are being left on the streets as violence continues to escalate.
Ordinary people are at risk from apparent random acts of violence with groups of men fighting alongside the police to protect their barricaded neighbourhoods.
At least 80% of the capital city is in the control of armed gangs.

Which people showed up? the Tainos lived there for hundreds of years before Columbus showed up, tried to turn them into slaves and Europeans wiped them out with violence and disease. Then the Europeans through their human trafficking networks kidnapped people from Africa to work as slave labor on the Island of Hispaniola. that is why the people in Haiti speak French and the Dominican Republic speak Spanish... so which people and when showed up to mess up beautiful Haiti?

@@johnman7251throughout history, societies have collapsed and often the collapse happens very quickly. I talk to a lot in Africans so I know how they think and feel.. the younger generation are not stupid but they are part of a huge population explosion not of their making. The average age in Africa is 18... and there are huge numbers of people flooding onto the jobs scene where there are no jobs. This applies to most of Africa. If I was in Africa I would be desperate to get out. In one case I suggested someone build a small wooden sail boat and set sail for South American.(I have done a lot of sailing myself). the currents and the winds from the Northern parts of Africa are in the right direction. The huge numbers of deaths that occur on a daily basis in Africa never makes the western news. Nigeria will be a good indicator.. I suspect law and order will crumble until like Haiti, gangs will take control. People will try and flee Africa in bigger numbers.. but where to.?.. what will happen when there is a huge death toll in Africa ? Will it be a case of Darwin resolving the situation ?

What commodities go thru Haiti’s ports? How can they maintain populace when lack of security prevents trade with cargo ships? Maybe trade is conducted on open waters? I don’t see how trade is made when nothing of value is coming out of Haiti.
