How in the hell do you learn solos like that by ear? Just find the note and figure out the scale / where to tap? I learn everything by ear as well, but ask me to learn Satriani solos by ear and forget it. Nicely done...by the way.

The melody lines are simple, and for the long runs it's a mix of slowing it down to hear the notes individually then just kind of knowing what the intervals are and finding a way to play that makes sense. I'm sure this isn't the way they played it knowing how they do things
