Seated katas are not jus some ritual, a true practitioner has greater scope & mobility over an average room than someone standing, yet these demonstrations are like a frog sitting on a Lilly pad waiting for flies. Also his waza are too stiff and reflect choreography not true kata or even gymnastic kata. Lastly he shows no understanding of practical bunki!

me cool: Your joking right, stick an iPad somewhere, I sold my digital camera, and with kindergarten material I'm suppose to make a qualitative and respectful video of something I consider so important, the old saying is that if you saw a starving samurai and offered him a meal he would pull out a toothpick put it in his mouth and say no thank you with a smile, false pride perhaps but there is a certain honor in such ways!

Michael Powell joking? No of course not. Look, most of the old Iai videos here are not in good quality. And some of it still in black and white. Thousands of people watch it anyway. What so disrespect about it? Please make one for me. I'm dying to see how good this Mike powel who criticized saying this 9 dan Hanshi movements looks just like a frog. I'm assuming that you are at the same level as Hayashizaki Jinsuke or Itto Ittosai or Yagyu Munenori.
