Hal Prince helped create one of the most spectacular, moving and enduring musicals in The Phantom of the Opera, and that's just one of his many impressive credits. Thank you Hal!

The Broadway stage has lost one of the greatest theatrical talents of all time. Hal we have enjoyed your productions over a course,of many decades. You brought so many characters to life through many talented cast members. May we always cherish what you have brought to us on Broadway. Rest peacefully.

What jerk disliked this video??? If it wasn't for Hal, I don't think Phantom would have made it to 33 years in London and 31 on Broadway

My my ... here as well in thy city ... Broadway show seen here by me twice, Gaston Leroux surely with the very early productions of this story and silent film of the early 1900's with Lon Chaney has always been a great treat 4 me ... along with the motion picture films and that Andrew L. Webber's 1986 Broadway shows if I could say again have always been 4 me treasure favs as well of mines ... As well 1 of my treasures has been Andrew's Royal Albert Hall... Thanks again 2 all 4 their productions & Hal Prince will also be a missed treasure through all of this as well ... I shall always Love this story of The Phantom of the very early Paris times from where this ALL originally stems from in plot ... my Prayers go with all ...

Lily Martin Hal Prince was just the director for the Broadway (stage) production. Joel Schumacher was the direction for the film.
