Honestly HisWattson has the best take, I think the established teams are mad cause it doesn't benefit them. But now there should be no more politics when picking POIs and a more even playing field for new teams. End-zone is randomized already so as long as they start balancing the loot for all the POIs this will not make the game "less skill".

I think this has to be a nightmare change for Hal. Literally just left TSM and his boys who he has years of experience with in hopes of winning more LANS and then comp completely changes the formula. Every comp game is gonna be a toss up now. Doesn’t matter how stacked your squad is.

This RNG POI drop is about the stupidest decision the devs have made. Staking your claim on a POI is what makes the game a Battle Royale. Hell instead of randomizing POIs why dont they just have all the maps have 20 POIs for 20 teams. If teams want to contest, they can and they have a POI to fall back on if they're no confident they can contest succesfully. Jesus this is dumb.

So let me get this straight... These "pro players" claim that the game they play is a game of skill and they are the best because they are just better than others. But randomising landing will somehow put them at a disadvantage. Really?! What a bunch of BS! It all just goes to prove what I've been saying since BR became a thing: it's a ret@r"ed mode that is almost zero skill based. The fact that it's a major "comp" mode is an indicator of the toilet that the competitive fps gaming scene is in...and DZ reaction speaks volumes, confirming I'm 100% correct. Not to mention that (as I understood it) the whole thing is not actually going to be properly/fully randomised. The correct way to do this is an RNG choosing the order of teams being awarded a POI and then - once the awarding order is decided - also using RNG to select a team's POI just before the match starts. The other option is to just let people land and contest wherever the F they like. Everything else is nonsense and will insure that the big name teams always have an advantage.

Well an easy way to enforce this just to enable invincibility for the first minute of the game. Contest of drop issue solved. No need to radomize P.O.Is and if you can't find a gun and get into fighting shape in one minute of Round 1, you need to work on your looting path.

This is such a good change for competitive Apex. You could have different winners and more diverse gameplay instead of the same team over and over. It also helps more consistent teams perform and showcase how good they are instead of muscle memory. Like you loot up the same route and go the same way 48 games in a row just so someone on the other team can memorize it and catch you off guard on the 49th game. bruh. New landing system = More skill.

@@veqad2242 let's say you drop right? You loot up and try to move away. Okay? The team that is in the POI next you , also decide to rotate. You don't know their path, and they don't know yours. You running into a team randomly and fighting is way more likely than memorising their pattern and running. This will ideally, lead to more team fights and third parties. If you win, you are better at the game. Simple as that. Not avoiding fights until end ring. You can still do this with the new changes, but it will be harder to predict where teams will go and how to avoid. Playing edge is more likely for avoiding. In this case, teams who adapt better to random POIs will be winners more often.

The draft system is really good, the best players should win more often, and good IGLs are way more valuable. I think it's refreshing and good for the game. DZ finished bottom 10 in scrims with 4 god spots on the same zone on WE and god spot from Lightning Rod. Actual skill issue.

Draft is very good for the scene. The best should not get advantage because they CLAIM the dropspot. I don't understand why pro's cry when they are faced with a challenge. 95% of these pro players have no education, and they want to have an opinion because they point and shoot digital bullets in a free BR game?
