I'm looking forward to more Birmingham reviews. We're in Coventry and the food scene is pants! We drove over to mak halal yesterday actually, and really enjoyed it. I think the price point is something that has to be considered for the quality of the food. Haven't tried the other maccies imitations though, so I can't compare.

Big Up. This is opposite the original Slams site, the originators of the 'french' burger, started by group of revert brothers from the local masjid on Wright Street. They had so much passion when they started (almost a food van in a building). mA they have come so far and the imitators have followed and this 'french' burger sector is thriving.

Ali, good vlog. I always avoid those who copy & look for uniqueness. We used to travel up from Gloucester on Friday / Saturday night (many years ago) - albeit my experience of Asian food was limited, Birmingham woke up my taste buds to try different things & enjoy it on the way. There must be many 'Hey Man's out there waiting on your arrival to spread the word that good food is on your doorstep. Really enjoying these vlogs Ali. Only thing is - everytime you post, I need to eat the food. Keep it up lad! Nice to see your family supporting you. I hope you are paying for lunches for them! Take care.

if you are looking for really spicy wings you have to try hfc's extra hot wings in Bradford (they also have pretty good burgers as well)

Ladypool road branch has the best seating now, really nice vibe there too. Mak Halal is a really good spot for the price you pay, I typically stick to the standard Big Mac type burgers here and the pizza for the price I really like it

Forgot to say, you should definately try Multi pizza in Birmingham. Their meat feast pizza is one we always order. Even after going to other pizza places, we always go back to saying that Multi pizza is the best pizza! Make sure to get their chilli sauce with the pizza as well.

I’m not a fan of both mak halal and slams, don’t like them style of patties they tend be dry. It doesn’t have that quality feel and taste. I’m more of a smash burger guy. Best I’ve had so far in uk is boo In Leicester.

This place is not worth it burgers so small for price chicken filet burger meat fat as cheese slice I live local tried and never again your portions are way too big compared to what the normal joey gets locals call it mac haraam
