It doesn't look like it extends the magnet's range of influence, but rather just the strength of the attraction. Fascinating!
@wesbaumguardner88297 ай бұрын
It extends the field on one side and reduces it on the other while making the magnetomotive force stronger on the side which it extends the range while making it weaker (by proximity) on the side with decreased range. It is all about the quantity of magnetic flux which cross a material. The more magnetic flux cross a material, the stronger the magnetomotive force will be.

That is because of the magnetic flux density of steel. Steel can conduct far more magnetic flux per volume than air. Problem is, the other side is not any stronger. I sketched in a simple magnetic fields in an image in the video (1.31). if you approach a ferromagnetic material, such as the screw in my video, you do not realize this alternating polarity, because iron is not polarized. if instead the array approaches another magnet will see a different behavior, the magnet will be attracted or repelled according to the point in which you put it.

You need to do two identical arrays, when you approach the strong sides need to be careful alternation of polarities. As in normal magnets opposite poles attract. To explain better look at my array. If you want to combine two arrays like these you have to turn one on the long side and you will have two arrays together and aligned. if you rotate one array from the short side instead you will still attraction but arrays are not aligned

I noticed if I have 2 sets of Neodymium magnets. One set has a 1 inch piece of non magnetized steel at the pole end on. If I bring the other magnets with the opposing pole towards the steel then I feel repulsive force but as I bring it even closer the magnet connects to the steel with attraction. Something is happening inside the steel as I bring magnet closer to change from repulsion to attraction.
@HeyChickens2 жыл бұрын
You make a very interesting observation. I have noticed this too. I think what is happening is sort of a battle for the allegiance of the steel between the two magnets. The steel acts just like a permanent magnet as long as it's in the presence of a strong enough magnetic field, with the orientation being according to the field it's being influenced by. When one magnet is already in full contact with the steel, the steel is fully in sync with that magnet. The steel is basically an extension of that first magnet. But when you bring a second strong magnet to the other side in an orientation that repels, the first reaction is repulsion because the second magnet is too far away to be able to "steal" any of the allegiance of the steel. But as you bring it closer, some of the steel on the surface which is slightly closer to the second magnet begins to align with the second magnet, which starts to create attraction. Once you force the second magnet all the way to the surface of the steel, you now have half of the steel aligned with magnet 1, and the other half aligned with magnet 2. So because the two magnets are further away from each other than they are from the steel, the repulsion between the two magnets is weaker than the attraction to the steel, which is in direct contact with both magnets.

The funny thing is how idiots think there is no aether around a magnet to cause the fields. It just happens by nothing acting upon electron particles over distance according to people with no rationale. This force vector... ect. As if vectors have any physical meaning at all, when they do not. A force vector can only be a mediator between two physical entities, not a standalone "thing" in and of itself.

you are doubling nothing, there is no free lunch in physics. It's like doubling the amount of water in a glass by pouring water from another glass of water. You may have more water in one, but you have less water in another..

In the video description I explain what you just wrote, I do not want to make anyone believe that I found a way to deceive physics

@@MagneticGamesIT It is true, the magnetic flux is moving from one side to the other and so it becomes more powerful in one side.

He used the magnetic strip to block the magnetic field from the other side of the magnets so that you could see that the weak side was indeed weak. Otherwise, the nail would have just been influenced by the field produced by the strong side, and the weak side of the magnets would not have been noticed. Not sure how to answer your other questions though sorry!
