Love the noises Gareth Hale makes at 3.30 swigging on the wine bottle. Never seen anybody play a drunk so well. Had tears coming out of my eyes, especially at the end when he tries to say “sophisticated world of wine”. Brilliant stuff.

Everything about this sketch and everything H&P produced is absolutely fantastic, this sketch could not have been filmed any better, it shows character acting at it's finest, and anyone of a certain age will recognise the 'Food and Drink' references perhaps, or the people how they maybe actually were in reality when the camera stopped rolling. 😅😅

Many years ago, when I was in the Army, we were on adventure training in the Saarland and the troop was invited to the Karlsberg brewery for a tour. After that we went to their restaurant/ cafe and partook of there hospitality, they may have regretted that as we drank all the beer on offer, and we were all absolutely rat arsed.
