You can see both of their minds working as they make decisions about where and how to breathe, you can see how they think through the song. We are so lucky that not only have these two goddesses combined their talents and perspectives to create a truly timeless piece of art, but that we got a look at how they MADE that art. “Inspiring” doesn’t even begin to cover it.

The same. I was in depression 2 years ago and only my long distance boyfriend was there for me till the end. The others cared about my condition at the beginning but a few months later stopped. So, he was the only one for me that time. Like in the song, I sometimes heard his voice inside my head; when my lights of happiness came on, he saw me as I am...I can say that every verse in the song says about smth of that time. Now I am fine and the depression is gone. My bf and I are still dating and we are happy to have each other in our lives. The song reminds me of those days but only with a smile on my face. Now I hope we will break the distance, so I will 'find myself running to meet him'. I'm very happy for you, I wish you the best!

The moment Amy came in just chills! Her vocal timbre is so distinctively iconic. Never really followed Evanescence religiously but everytime I hear her every now and then like this, it reminds me again why she’s so amazing. And why I had a huge crush on her voice alone for a majority of my teenage years. Hope she’s doing great stuff even now. Maybe I’ll go check up what she’s upto these days.

Eveanesence is coming with a new album this month, there are 6 songs out already so far and they are all pretty great.

It's amazingly baffling how these 2 voices have such different qualities and timbre but harmonize so perfectly together. These are some of the prettiest harmonies I think I've ever heard

I have watched this over a hundred times and still get chills when Amy’s voice comes into play

Same thought! Lizzy's opening had me on the edge of my seat she was the perfect open to Amy. Amy is and has always been the best vocalist I have ever heard anything she touches I am giving the chef's kiss. Lizzy sets you up with goosebumps and Amy comes in with full on chills

Ok, I know this is an old video but I just came across it. But can we talk about the passion that both of these women put into their art? The facial expressions? The movements? Truly powerful voices!

Two Rock legends, Lzzy has this round in my opinion.

Their mic technique is on point. Notice that Lzzy is closer to the mic and Amy is a little farther away to give depth when they harmonize. Then they trade off.

Lyrics Put your lighter in the air and lead me back home When it's all said and done, I'll follow the echoes I hear you night after night calling out my name, ooh And I find myself running to meet you I didn't want to escape From the bricks that I laid down You are the only one The only one that sees me Trusts me and believes me You are the only one The only one that knows me And in the dark to show me Yeah, it's perfectly reckless Damn, you leave me defenseless So break in Break in You let me fall apart without letting go Then you pick up the pieces and you make me whole I didn't want to escape From the bricks that I laid down You are the only one The only one that sees me Trusts me and believes me You are the only one The only one that knows me And in the dark to show me Yeah, it's perfectly reckless Damn, you leave me defenseless So break in And take everything I have Till there is nothing left Till it's just your voice in my head And when the lights come on You see me as I am You're still inside me You are the only one The only one that sees me That trusts me and believes me You are the only one The only one that knows me And in the dark you show me Yeah, it's perfectly reckless Damn, you leave me defenseless So break in Break in Put your lighter in the air And lead me back home...

I've loved Amy Lee since way back when, she's always been so underrated. I've never thought her voice would match well with another female, but here we are and it's freaking gold! 🖤
