The whole point of this album is to make people uncomfortable. So many people talk shit about Lzzy singing about sex, call her names, tear her down. I'm not her but in my mind, I think she has the idea if people are going to talk, she's going to give them something to talk about. I think the music is still great, I can't relate to the lyrics as much, but this song is still bad ass. And I commend Lzzy for not being afraid to express herself.
@benm59704 жыл бұрын
In terms of how unapologetic she is about everything Lzzy is basically a female version of James Franco from Why Him?
@kianaloftis3643 жыл бұрын
Idk y people find it so uncomfortable to talk about sex I'm the exact opposite I lay it all out no filter
@Southpaw5352 жыл бұрын
There's nothing new about Halestorm singing about sex? They've been doing it for years. As for shock, why is it shocking for Lzzy to be singing about having sex when its been common enough in rock for decades? Other than treating is differently because she's a woman, I don't know what about this people would be uncomfortable about
@blujustin4175 Жыл бұрын
AIUI it was written abou a person she talked to in an airport but she made herself the protagonist for the lyrics... fab song and you're right that she is to be respected for expression of herself and others whether that upsets people or not

About 10 or so years ago I pretty much quit listening to Rock and Heavy Metal music cause didn’t care much for anything I was hearing. And a couple bands that I did like seemed like they were continually putting out the same stuff album after album. Then I heard a couple of my Rock n Roll saviors. Shinedown then Halestorm just to name my couple favs and have been blown away with every album they have released. Lzzy and Brent IMO are two of the very best voices in any genre. And both bands have some of the top musicians out there. They keep putting out awesome record after awesome record and I’ll keep jamming along to it on their ride right into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Can’t wait to hear the entire album. I’m sure they crushed it again.

I don't mind their songs about sex as long as they're done with clever lyrics but this one is so blatantly to-the-point that it's completely devoid of the charm many of their other songs have. Break In is about sex, but it's more about the emotional connection when done with the right person, Private Parts is more about opening up emotionally but the way it's written is clever. This one just... isn't.

Love you Lzz but jeeeeeezus chimenies. There’s being open about your sexuality, then there’s this. But hey you got my daughter to open up and honestly talk about why she’s so afraid to date, so thanks for not backing down even if some of us older fans think this might be just a taaaaad much.
@bookwolf96385 жыл бұрын
Here's the thing: Lizzy isn't even purely Bisexual. She's Bicurious. Which means she has an open mind to Bisexuality but doesn't personally identify as such. She's willing to experiment, but refuses to label herself as Bi. Look, Bisexual and lesbian individuals deserve respect as much as the next person. And yes, I get it's difficult for an older generation to grasp. I'm in the same boat as your daughter, really: came out as bisexual at a fairly young age and had no idea how my mother was going to react. Just carry on being a loving and supportive parent and your daughter will love and respect you. Let her see you as her confidant. Don't reject her for her identity. Support her show her she's still loved and appreciated, even if you can't fully wrap your head around the concept.

I'm absolutely loving the direction of which this album is going. Into The Wild Life was a good album, but it was more like a country rock album which would make sense since it was recorded in Nashville. This new album will be the best they made and this should be the direction they should go. Halestorm is #1!!!!
