Lzzy and AreJay's first show was at a county fair talent show in 1997. They won 3rd place, Lzzy still keeps that trophy on her mantle, right next to the Grammy they won for the song Love Bites(So Do I). Their Dad played bass, and Lzzy played a keytar in the early days. Lead guitarist , Joe Hottinger, joined in 2003, he plays Gibson SG's. bassist Josh Smith joined in 2004. If you think this had a lot of energy, highly recommend you go see them live in concert. I've seen them a couple times, and they bring an extra energy that you don't see in most studio versions. They are well aware of that, so much so that they made an effort to try and bring some of that energy when recording the last album, Back From the Dead, their 5th record released in 2022. This song is from their 2nd album, The Strange Case Of..., released in 2012. Current Nightwish lead singer, Floor Jansen, is a big Lzzy Hale fan. Lots of great songs to choose from, for more try Love Bites (So Do I), Back From the Dead, I Am the Fire, Amen, Familiar Taste of Poison.

Halestorm started as a family band With Lzzy on guitar and vocals, Arejay, her younger brother on drums, and their dad playing bass. Lzzy was 13 and Arejay was 10 when they started out in 1997. The group has existed in its current form since 2004. Lzzy's guitar is a Gibson Explorer. She gave a custom Gibson Explorer to Dany of The Warning when they were touring together.

@@AceofBadeReacts While they had a couple of early EPs, their professional debut album didn't come out until 2009. They won the Grammy for Love Bites ( so do I) in 2013. So while they have been playing for a long time, they have only been high profile for 10 to 15 years. Plus Lzzy is 40, which while not a kid, is far from old. It is hard to believe she has been in a rock band for well over half her life.

Love Bites is such a great song. It was the first song I ever heard by them, I think on Bar Rescue actually. I'll add the live one to the list. I want to say I've heard Break In before (I can't remember, but the name sounds familiar), but I don't think I heard it with Amy Lee on vocals as well. I definitely want to check that out

I don't know if I have one favorite, as there are several I really like. Partly it depends on my mood. Familiar Taste of Poison is a slower more melodic song, which has a really neat video. Back From The Dead is a straight ahead rocker.
