Do you prefer Lindsey Stirling solo or collaborating with other musicians more?

BOTH! of course.

I like both. I've been following her since her beginning over 12 years ago. She has been in the top 10 of EDM charts. She has a band she tours with. She does not sing normally. Collab with Pentatonix covering Radioactive is amazing. She has also played with John Legend and many many more artists.

Lindsey Stirling does sing, just not very often. She sings on some Christmas songs like “Santa Baby” and “Warmer in the Winter” and a few others. She has a beautiful voice, but says she’s not a singer. When Lindsey wrote “Shatter Me” she wrote about her experiences with anorexia and the feeling of sheltering yourself from the world til you can breakout of those trapped thoughts.

I've checked out quite a few instrumental artists who can sing that don't like to sing often, so I understand that. Wow that's a pretty deep message

Lindsey Stirling is known as "The Dancing Violinist". And this is how Lindsey started... When Lindsey was about 5 years old, her father would take Her family (mom and 2 sisters) to free orchestral concerts in the city. Lindsey said that the first-chair violinist always tuned the orchestra and got the big solos. She saw that as being the Star of the show. Lindsey would beg her parents for violin and dance lessons. They could not afford both, so after going to one class each, she decided on the violin. Lindsey started with a rented violin because they couldn’t afford one. And since age 6 (1992), she has been violining to this day, (31 years). She was trained in Classical Violin for the first 12 years. Then one day in High School, she needed money for college, so she entered the Arizona Junior Miss Pageant. She noticed that around 6 other violinists were competing. She figured that it would just come down to who could play their Classical piece better. She wanted to win, so she added dance to her playing. She wanted to entertain and perform, not just impress everyone. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXrTkIRqebZrq7c Of course, she won. After that, she decided to play the music she liked. She started adding hip-hop, then EDM, then dubstep. She has always practiced her violining...half an hour to an hour a day, 6 days a week. After practicing, she rewarded herself by playing something she wanted. She has said the key is perseverance. Actually, she learned how to dance through KZbin videos when she was 17 years old (2003). Growing up, Lindsey and her 2 sisters would dance to the Classical records their parents would play. Lindsey has always loved to dance. Lindsey was on Dancing With The Stars and Dance Showdown. And Lindsey has had about a week of Tap and a week of Ballet. Lindsey also learned a little from friends and choreographers. Lindsey was born to dance. Actually, Shatter Me was Lindsey's cry for help. Lindsey wanted Amy Lee to sing it in the video. Unfortunately, Amy was not able to. Amy sings very strongly with a sadness and a defeated feeling also. And that's exactly what Lindsey was feeling. Lzzy sings very strongly as well but her gritty sound makes it sound like Lindsey is going to kick some butt. This is further illustrated by Lindsey hitting her globe. Lindsey should have kicked some butt. But she couldn't without God's and mine help. Amy's voice would have matched what Lindsey was feeling. Lzzy's voice is what Lindsey should have been feeling. When people would doubt Lindsey and her ability, I would post the following... Lindsey always plays live. She has said that she tried "faking" it once and it just looked ridiculous. Because it is way too hard to sync the violin playing to the music. And it looks way too obvious. Lindsey has been playing the violin for *31* years and she added dancing *20.5* years ago. They say to be an expert at something, you need 10,000 hours. Lindsey has 30,000 hours. Every concert and show has been SOLD-OUT. *Would you buy a ticket ($100-$200) to a "fake or bad" show?* Lindsey has 14 million subs, 5 billion views, 132 music videos, hundreds of misc. videos, 6 full albums, 25+ violins, and has toured the world many times. She doesn't need to fake it. Lindsey Is A Professional. In fact, I like saying, "Almost anyone can stand around and play Bach. But how many can play AND dance to Michael Jackson?" I have collected some KZbin videos of Lindsey that may help you... (You need not react to these.) kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZ_HpmedlNhoa9U kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4nTY3ypj69nY5I kzbin.info/www/bejne/l4utl6itgdSdi5I kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqqklaqjfZVjn5o kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3WYlX6PmseFf6s kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6PFZYCInZikrac kzbin.info/www/bejne/fWaTonuahbGbaZY kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYi4n3WAfLdjeZY

This song live kicks serious butt. The base blasting out of the speakers as Lindsey plays her violin while hanging upside down in a trapeze ring, made our jaws drop. This song just blasts through you.

fun fact: the song is a reference to Lindsey's eating disorder and her breaking free from it. The butterfly being significant, because butterflies are related to eating disorders such as anorexia.

Found Lindsey because of this song, was already a Halestorm fan. Lindsey had competed on AGT years ago, but was eliminated. She wouldn't let that stop her, and built her career through KZbin and social media. Afaik, she doesn't sing, just brings in guests when she wants vocals. A lot of her stuff is instrumentals. Amy Lee sang this song when Lindsey toured with Evanescence., that was before they had their own collab. For more recent , check out Linsey's live cover of Zeppelin's Kashmir at Lollapalooza Paris 2023.

Lizzy Hale's part in my interpretation would be Lindsey's intellectual side while Lindsey is portraying her emotional side.

Hi Ace, Just wanted to let you know that Lindsey Stirling has just today (Friday) released a new Single/MV for her new album "DUALITY" out June 14. The song "Eye of the Untold Her" is kind of a looking back from when Lindsey was on America's Got Talent in 2010 and what has happened with her career to today. It's like present Lindsey meets Lindsey of 2010 to show her what her dreams lead to. Lindsey does reenactments of some of her past music videos, her time on Dancing With The Stars, and her current live touring productions. @@AceofBadeReacts My personal favorite is Stand My Ground, but almost nobody ever reacts to that, but their newest song is utterly amazing and the video is incredible. Bleed Out. I also very highly recommend Angels. They have been going for decades though crossing several genres. They are technically a Symphonic Metal band along the likes of Evanescence, though they pre-date them.
