The ending of this song touches me. As somebody who just in general has been going through shit, music like this reminds me what I love in this world and keeps me going. No matter what I lose in life, I will always have music to heal my soul. When I forget what it means to be happy I turn to music like this and that’s reason enough for me to keep on keeping on.

Ice phoenix I would recommend getting the CD. When I put the CD in, it blew me away. MP3 is compressed. I listen to this song over and over in my car. The sound explodes. Usually it doesn't matter but with this CD it does. MP3 to this album is like a silencer to a gun.

I got a demon in my soul and a voice in my head It's saying go, go, go! I can sleep when I'm dead There's a sonic revelation bringing me to my knees And there's a man down below who needs my sympathy I got a ringing in my ears getting ready to burst Screaming "hallelujah, hallelujah take me to church" I like it louder than the boom Of a big bass drum I need it harder than the sound Of a guitar grunge I love to crank it up Make it thump And evil to the core Headbanging in the pit And throwing my horns And just like old school Sabbath, Zeppelin and Lemmy I need to drop it down low And make it heavy I like it heavy, oh ohh I like it heavy, oh ohh I ride the lightning, roll with the thunder I'm going down down down with my sisters and brothers I fell in love with their darkest parts Stand on the side of the wild at heart I plucked the feather off a crow so I could fly Since I was thirteen years old I've had my fist to the sky I like it louder than the boom Of a big bass drum I need it harder than the sound Of a guitar grunge I love to crank it up Make it thump And evil to the core Headbanging in the pit And throwing my horns And just like old school Sabbath, Zeppelin and Lemmy I need to drop it down low And make it heavy I like it heavy, oh ohh I like it heavy, oh ohh I like it, I like it, I like it heavy I like it, I like it, I like it heavy I like it, I like it, I like it heavy I like it, I like it, I like it heavy Some like beautiful, perfect and pretty I see the good in the bad and the ugly I like it heavy, oh ohh I like it heavy, oh ohh I like it, I like it, I like it heavy I like it, I like it, I like it heavy I like it, I like it, I like it heavy I like it, I like it, I like it heavy Take me home tonight I, do anything with you Buy a bottle of whiskey, we'll get matching tattoos Tell me that you love me, oh let me drive your car We can sit to morning light, just countin' every stars 'Cause if there's a Hell, I'll meet you there And if there's a Heaven, they're serving beer And if you're an angel then, I must be high Oh if there's a church, it's rock 'n roll If there's a devil, I sold my soul And it's alright whatever we do tonight 'Cause if there's a God dammit she won't mind If there's a God, baby she won't mind

49 here, and I couldn't agree more. This band gives me hope for the future of rock n' roll! And you can bet there are kids out there right now being inspired by hearing Halestorm to pick up a guitar and scream into a mic the way Lzzy and the guys were inspired by the old rockers of the 80's and 70's before them.

This is one of the most exceptional overall albums from any genre I've heard in a long time. I am so glad that Lzzy and the guys decided to really push themselves creatively and with their songwriting. IMO this album is a lyrical masterpiece. And the mix of sounds and songs couldn't be better. They didn't stray to far from the hard rocking sound they are known for with some incredible heavy tracks like Mayhem, I Like It Heavy, Sick Individual, Gonna Get Mine, and a couple others. But what may set this album apart from the first 2 is the mixing in of some outstanding slower tracks with amazing lyrics and switching up using some bluesy and even a lil country sound to a couple tracks. The slower tracks like Dear Daughter, The Reckoning, and What Sober Couldn't Say really showcase Lzzy's lyrical songwriting capabilities along with her vocals and range, which should never be doubted as one of the best in any genre of music. Then Bad Girls World has a soulful blues feel to it. New Modern Love is something different than anything I've ever heard from them with a pop song sound and feel to it. But even that song has grown on me. I can see why they are so proud of this album because you can definitely see their creative growth throughout. If they continue to write and create music that pushes and interest them they will only become more and more successful. The whole album has that same raw emotional intensity you see everytime they take the stage. This will be without doubt the bands most successful album to date. I can easily see this producing them another Grammy. If you can't tell I give it an infinite amount of thumbs up. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻!!!!!

I couldn't have said it better than Michael West and Johnson did. Halestorm is already one of my all time favorites and I have been listening since '74 ("Since I was thirteen years old I've had my fist to the sky"). "I Like it Heavy" is a Hard Rock Anthem for any decade with lyrics that can inspire any Headbanger. "If I can't feel it in my chest I'm in the wrong damn place!", "Screaming "hallelujah, Mother F***** take me to church"", "I like it louder than the boom Of a big bass drum" and on and on - this song is the ultimate Love song for Rock and Roll Hard and Heavy.

***** Also, Ride the Lightening - Metallica. I'm sure there are more but I'd need to be paying more attention.

I love Halestorm. Does anybody know any other bands like this? Love rock music, especially when there's a female singer.

In This Moment. Can't get enough Maria Brink although she is a little more hardcore than Lzzy and not for everyone but god damn can that woman scream. Then there is the obvious Evanescence. The Pretty Reckless (Taylor Momsen I believe) recently did a few few good songs. Just to name a few.
