With the album Lo-Fi Soul ..."Many of the songs started with voice memos that [Haley] would bring to her various co-producers. One of them, Nashville producer Tony Esterly (Sia, BTS), took her raw recordings and used them in the final songs. 'So I’d have this original, totally lo-fi recording from my phone now be an actual part of the song, which I thought was really, really neat,' she says. 'I’ve kind of just established that I know where I want to take a melody and I know the stories that I want to be told. People just let me go off.
