These songs aren't really old to me, but elsewhere I see clips of her singing some of the old classics from The Great American Songbook. She's some vocal artist. In fact, a real vocal artist!

The kinks version of this song is in my top five of 2020... haley's version just made the list the first time I heard it. Her covers are most times better than the originals. She has the sexiest voice ever. I love you haley

I recognize Scott Bradlee on the piano. I've met him on several occasions. He is larger in life than in person...which really has no bearing on this comment. I have been listening to this album on repeat for about a month now. This was the one I skipped for the first half of that month. Now, I have to say, this is THE best song on the album. Took me a while lot love it. Such an epic song. That's the way to convince people Haley - Has to be one of the best covers ever made.

I note that this album included Scott Bradly. I enjoy many of the recordings that Haley has made (Shook, and some others) with out Scott Bradley, but I have noted that the Haley Reinhart - Scott Bradley productions are a step above. I first noticed this with Seven Nation Army, Oops, I Did It Again, All about that Bass, Black Hole Sun, Habits. Haley's performances were much better than the songs she was singing. Sadly, In Seven Nation Army there were no credits given for the dress or the choreography, but they were important components of that video. I would also like to know more about all who played a part in these., This album seems to regain the excellence I heard in the earlier collaborative work. This is straight music, very good, but the earlier performance videos were better because Haley is an amazing singer, vocalist, and performer. I would really like to know more how these artists cooperate and interact to come up with this stuff. The results are just stunning. I have very much enjoyed this album.

Haley signed with Concord Records to produce this album, "What's That Sound?" It was recorded on vintage tape stock using vintage equipment. This is the only song on the album Scott Bradley performed on. Martin Guigui played keys on the other songs. Haley's mother provided backup vocals and her dad guitar on some tracks. A couple of members of Haley's band at the time contributed as well. Jacob Scesney and other friends, too. You can see them on the video shot in studio for "The Letter." Many of the dresses Haley wore in the PMJ videos were from Alyce Paris. Provided by a family friend/fan who worked there in Public Relations. Sadly, she passed away in December from Covid.

++Orange Lime I don't know if it's New Orleans but thon piano of Scott Bradlee definitely adds to it and gives it a different feel to the Kinks' version. Of course that's before mentioning the absolutely fabulous singing of Haley. Throughout the whole album her voice with all it's unique qualities comes across more clearly than in anything else she's recorded. This is my particular favourite but it's all bloody great! Ach, I'm going to have to listen again!
