damn you travis! damn you! i was actually sowing a sling kind of like that myself with the climbing webbing, I was struggling a bit. I am actually using the old latches from the alice packs; a seal showed me that on my last deployment in 2011. I have to say i love the video. you addressed all the issues i was having with the body armor we have it just sucks. I cant stress enough on how your videos and equipment is awesome and helpful for us to use and work with. i hate looking at products and struggling to figure out if i want to spend the money on it just to miss the point and not use it properly or its subpar. I hate to say it but im not a pro and i screw shit up all the time. When you add videos to go with your products and how to use them makes life so much easier. i watch it and learn and the light bulb goes off, "oh that so much easier"! thank you very much for everything you do and what you do.

I picked one of these up from Bravo Company and am impressed. Coming from a VTAC 2 point padded sling, I didn't think it could improve much. I always appreciated the theory behind the Magpul slings, but not the materials or execution. I'm actually shocked by how long it took to come out with a sling that seems so simple, lightweight, and functional. Job well done, Travis.

Awesome!!! Being able to change from a two point to single was the reason I got the MS2 when it was introduced. Few years later now, it could use some padding and seriously considered going to Blue Force. But damn......this D3 Sling got my attention!!!

There are three things I notice that Travis says alot: 1. "weapons manipulation" 2. "combat effectiveness" 3. "mm, kay?/"Okay?" The first two makes you sound like a damn salesman, lol! So good, in fact, I bought a D3 sling and a Thorntail mount. Can wait till it shows up at my door tomorrow!
@TheActiveAssault9 жыл бұрын
Submit it to The Marine Corps. Send free samples to infantry battalion gunners and make them an offer they can't refuse. This is a good investment. Grunts get fucked with shit gear, hook it up. It's a small investment and if the product is something you believe is superior then it will be widely adopted. This'll be great for assaultmen, scout snipers, and just about anyone rocking two weapons. We've all seen that Marine who has to awkwardly toss his rifle behind his back to employ an AT4 inadvertently flowerpotting. Fruit for thought
@AnimeSummit9 жыл бұрын
+TheActiveAssault Well, the Corps never got the MS3 sling from magpul either. Currently the only approved slings are parade slings, 3 point slings, and the Vickers blue force sling.

@AnimeSummit9 жыл бұрын
Tacticalgunguy1989 The 3 I listed above are the only officially allowed and, as far as I know, regulations state no others can be used. But you're unlikely to have someone enforce it, and if they do, that's a huge sign of a bad leader, provided you aren't trying to use a sling you made out of duct tape and paracord.

Exactly what I have been looking for, $89 is pricey but if I assume (I think rightfully so) that the quality of parts and build quality is high (won't be falling apart on me or tearing or have sub-par sling swivel's that stop working) then I have no problem paying that price.

+Anime Summit don't knock it til you try it...The soe bungee is not the same as shit like condor bungy...it doesn't stretch unless you want to stretch it...and in awkward shooting positions particularly supine...The bungee offers adaptability that non bungee slings simply can't give you.

+Jessi Taylor You have some options, if you are willing to drill into your stock you could do something like this www.primaryarms.com/mi-spqd/p/mi-spqd/ If you don't want to do that there are non permanent solutions, the V3QD on this page just requires you to unscrew the pistol grip, slide the mount under it, then screw the pistol grip back on. www.echo93.com/#!adaptors/c1bhd I'm sure there are other options but these were the few things that stuck out to me when I googled.

At 1:40 the design / stitching of the segment that attaches to your rifle is aesthetically unappealing. You always have great quality gear (I own a number of them) and feel that one area could be made much better. The ends dont mate up well, and although I cant see if the ends are rolled inwards or merely just hot knifed, at least they are bartacked. However, it would have been better to use a box stitch near the rear. I would have brought both end pieces together, folded them inward, and box sewn it. This is just my 2 cents from a gear manufacturer. Nice touch with the 17337 dyed multicam webbing. Could have gone cheaper with Murdoc, but not a fan of the woven multicam.
