That should actually have been a late hit penalty. QB had already released the ball. I hear she is a great person and a talented athlete which is awesome. But to do a national news story on this is pretty nuts and grasping for straws. We had a much larger female kicker, who was also a multiple sport varsity athlete, on our high school football team back in the mid 90's. Everyone was mortified the first time she was mowed down by our oppositions special teams.

Same thing that's going on with women in the combat arms units of the armed forces. Overlook some standards, make some new ones, create a few winning moments for the camera, broadcast those wins, shame others who don't play along, and pass on moral accountability for the unavoidable ramifications down the road. Which in this case will be some girl gets hurt bad or football as we know it is over.

They have a five-man line blocking four linemen (/woman) rushing straight forward and she goes unblocked. There are only two explanations for this: 1. This was scripted by both sides to allow her to get to the QB 2. The offense didn't feel any need to block the girl Please, someone show me another football clip where five linemen allow one of four d-linemen go unblocked on a normal passing play when the defense is not blitzing or stunting or doing anything remotely tricky. It doesn't happen. I'm guessing it's option #2. The offense chose to double two of the d-linemen instead of blocking her. I expect they would script a sack if it were scripted.

@Bgrosz1 Жыл бұрын
@@Destiny2_Clips , Uh, yeah she would. She clearly isn't that fast, and she still hurried the pass. It would have only taken someone that is a little faster to have sacked the QB. If you have 5 blockers and four rushers, you don't double two people and leave one unblocked. You may do that if they send 5 (blitz) and overload one side. Had they sent five, then I could have seen her go unblocked. Defensive ends are usually very fast. Think about the time it takes for the receiver to run his route and the QB to get the snap, read if the receiver is going to be open and let the ball loose. Now think about the time it would take a fast DE to get to the QB unblocked. There isn't that much distance between them. You don't just leave the defensive end with a free shot at the QB. Even if the QB gets the ball off, they are going to take a big hit and aren't going to make it through the season if you allow one unblocked hit after another on your QB by design.

I'm trying to be nice here, but there's simply no way she could compete. Your average safety in the NFL (the position she plays) is bigger than 6'0", more than 200 lbs and can do the 4.5 40 yard dash. Yes, I know, she's playing division 3 ball. Look, it's simple, with every play she's out there, it's one play closer to her getting herself killed. She a girl and there's no sport I can think of where women simply can't compete with men. They did a publicity stunt play in a blow out game, how lovely. I just don't see the point of this, however. If a 6'5", 240 lb qb took off and started running and lowered his helmet into her, they'd have to drag her off the field. Again, I'm all for women's empowerment. Women outperform men in a lot of endurance sports. Heather Anderson set the fastest known time on the PCT in 2013, and it wasn't broken by any man or woman until 2022. @@Fisch2k4 I'm talking ultra marathons on the short end (50-100 miles) and thru hikes on the long end (2000+ miles). Women have a greater distribution of slow twitch muscle fibers. Men still have bigger muscles and greater maximal capacities like strength and aerobic power, which is why women generally can't compete with men over shorter distances like a marathon.

Late hit and roughing the passer--not to mention that the play didn't call for anyone to block her. Ladies - NO EFFIN BIG DEAL!

What a joke. They’re treating her like a make a wish kid. Put her in a real game and she’ll go to the hospital. Stop with the make believe BS already.

You ladies call that a tackle when she should of been flagged for roughing the passer. Fake news! It was a late hit or hug, but it wasn't a tackle.

Unblocked? Couldn’t even get to the QB in time? Late hit? She didn’t even know where to line up. Wth 🤦♀️. Come on!!!
@misschris258 Жыл бұрын
She ran slow and tackled the quarterback after he threw the ball. Isn’t that roughing the player? Not to mention the tackle was in like slow mo and I think the quarterback only fell down for her because he felt bad. At least she’s not telling everyone she identifies as a man though.

When she actually sacks the quarterback with the ball in hand, then do a TV segment. This was absolutely nothing.

No flag on the play? Even if she couldn't ruff the passer she still hugged him after the pass. Is this going to be like Sarah Fuller? Is she sitting for the rest of the season?

When I was 13 and played soccer I could kick an official college ball further than she did consistently. What a joke that was basically an onside kick. Even if both kickers were injured she was too and many players have kicked before or tried out to be kickers at some point and any player not already on the field could have kicked it far better than that. Doing the media rounds too and was filmed in advance and obviously a stunt.

"Next time, we need to get the sack"... how about next time NOT roughing the passer & the refs actually throwing a flag! 🤦🏾♂️

I can't celebrate a woman tackling a man on a football field. This makes me sad - I don't uderstand why women feel the need to compete with men. Men and women are not different from each other - they are different FOR each other. Complementarity of the sexes. Why are we trying so desparately to erase those differences??
@B-ROCK5150 Жыл бұрын
It must be football season and the left are at it again. Staging another sports SNL skit. Nobody blocked you on purpose and the QB just fell down. Shame on the coaches for allowing this. I'm eager to see the medias reaction when one of these superior women athletes get hurt permanently from a hit. Broken back, ribs, limbs or worse paralyzed. Then this nonsense will come to a abrupt end. 🤡
@rickeymiller8998 Жыл бұрын
LMBO! People need to stop with this crap. If there are actually women who want to play football then they need to create a female league. Let's be honest....if someone from the opposing team would have disobeyed and not allowed her to hit the QB...but knocked her a few yards...then they'd be in trouble for it. She may be good at other sports, but not football. Not only that, with them applauding this are they going to applaud & call it a "step forward" when some swole dude comes to play female sports? Nah..

5’6” and 145? That’s solid for a woman, but that will get a person killed against a male college football player eventually. That’s scary to think about. 😬

Notice she hit him after the throw. Where are the red flags? Notice nobody even bothered to block her. She may be a tough girl. But she would get killed, literally, if she had to take the kind of hits most guys take in a real game.

Wouldn’t the bigger deal be her lack of size…..even for diii? I’m more impressed that a 5’7”, 150lb, 14+sec 100m saftey, with no football stats prior, made the national news for an unblocked hurry (by receiver error) in a diii football game. Maybe we should all leave gender out to see the truth.

This is nothing but absolute silliness. The qb should get MVP for falling down on top of her. This is not a worthy play. If any of those guys would go full speed at her, like they do with each other, she wouldn't finish the game.
