I think ppl are not realizing the full context of her 'I love Jewish ppl' comments. At the time she was really trying to land Hila's brother. The Jewish line is carried by females. If she wanted to fulfill the role of being a Jewish wife/mother she'd have to not only embrace the potential future family expectations but also the religiosity. It's not unreasonable for her to go to the extreme she did w her rhetoric so that she would look acceptable to the family, the faith, and the community.
