Can I ask how you dealt with it mentally? I’m gonna be 15 soon and the thought of surgery terrifies me. I go in a few days to meet the surgeon and find out when I’m supposed to get the surgery. I completely ruptured my ACL to the point that I don’t have an ACL in my right leg anymore. And I’m absolutely terrified to have the surgery. But I’m a competitive gymnast so I obviously don’t have a choice here…and I really need it. But I’m scared…

i feel that, i was also the most scared to have surgery i couldn’t even imagine! but you really just have to think of the good it’s going to do for you and how much stronger you’re going to come out on the other side. i wish you the best

aww thank you!! my surgeon decided on the patella graft bc he said it was stronger and better for my goals of going back to soccer after acl recovery.
