Half Wig or not?? Reviewing

Hey hey beautiful people! Happy New Year! Hope all is well and that you all are starting the year out on a good note!
Today's video is on a new piece I received from Ms Greyt. Now this was somewhat of a challenge, but I think I pulled off a WIN in the end! I will run through how I customized this unit to work for me and hopefully this may help some of you who may be dealing with some of the same issues I ran into. I think the fact that your hair appears to be less dense around the edges makes the wig look more natural..just curious if I'm the only one seeing that😂

You did a wonderful job with her. You are gorgeous. The hairstylist in me was saying in the beginning, bring her more to the front. I could see that she was too far back for the size of your head. These wig companies, don't consider women, with small heads, when they make wigs. I have not found a wig that fits my small head correctly when we are not given the chance to pick the size of the cap on the wig.

So true!!! That was my suggestion even with this drawstring wig. One size doesn’t fit all! Cap sizes are needed. There is no way this is/could be a half wig for me! Definitely a full wig.

I was happy to see your review and in-depth steps you took to make it your own! Ms. Greyt owes you!!! I bought the kinky straight headband wig, which has not arrived yet. And now, I am a little scared about the amount of thickness! Thank you for showing me a process for making it my own!

My pleasure sis! You should be ok. I didn’t thin the headband wig but I did blow dry and flat iron it just so it would feel more natural and not so coarse. Enjoy😘😘

Hello dear! Love your vids. You always point out the good & the bad! I have to say, I placed an order for a halfwig about a week ago. Initially after viewing the first half of your vid, I got a little nervous, but did notice you had the unit to far back. So glad you reached out to Ms. Greyt for tips. Very informative. You are so talented! On another note, I don't get why companies make the wig so UNREALISTCALLY thick and long in the first place. You shouldn't have to cut so much of the product away. Most of us don't have the skills to thin it out successfully. And sometimes hairdressers don't get it right either. Opens one up to expensive mistakes which makes me hesitant to purchase.

So pretty. I wear my half wig similar way. i would recommend removing those combs and getting a wig grip or using large bobby pins. Because those combs can and will thin your hair and make your scalp sore even after wearing for just a short time. you did a great job on this one.

Have you tried Oribe for Blonde hair? It is expensive BUT it gets the whites white🤩. And a little goes a long way. I primarily use the conditioner. Way better than Shimmer Lights at taking out the yuck yellow. Smells great. Worth every penny. (Discovered when @Brad Mondo did a comparison of popular purple shampoos.)

Notice that you are wearing a 16". May I ask how tall you are? I'm only 5' tall and am trying to figure out a good length. Your styles and hair look great!

Hey Deborah! Just so you know, this particular wig has been cut. I debulked(thinned) it and trimmed about an 1.5 inches off the length and added some light layers ( I'm not a hairstylist, just someone who loves experimenting with hair). I'm 5' 4.5 " hope that helps😘

Hey Neisha! I didn’t make the wig. The link to this piece is in the description box. I only customized it a little (thinned out so it wasn’t as thick, flat ironed, and curled it). It is advertised as Ms Greyt’s 3 in 1 wig, but for me it is a full size wig. Hope this explains a little better 😊

😊…honestly I love being able to show women who are contemplating going grey but are a little hesitant some options-wigs! I enjoy changing up my look without having to constantly do a lot of work to my hair. It’s just convenient. But my hair is nowhere near the thickness of this piece. I have a platform that can reach women who are grey or greying that may want to purchase a grey wig. But I do understand why you would feel that way! Thanks so much for your comment😘😘
