Jelly Roll's music has literally saved my life over, the last few year's. When this song came out, I broke down into tears because, I've been there.

First time I heard and saw this video I was sitting in my kitchen with my service pistol ready to take my life. See after 35 years in the Army and losing countless friends I was feeling so lonely and undeserving of life. What hurts the most is losing my son to an IED in Afghanistan 3 weeks after I retired. Then I had to go to my daughter's house and tell her that her twin brother was killed. I think about dying and joining my son and all my buddies every day.

As a person who dealt with undiagnosed Bipolar disorder for 30 years, I begged my husband to leave me on many occasions. I was so crazy, suicidal and messed up. He stuck by me and picked me up everytime I fell. My PTSD riddled Veteran husband faught his own demons to save my life many times over. 20 yrs together, he still saves me. 🥰❤️ Thankfully, I was treated 8 years ago and very rarely slip to that depressed state.

I've been a follower of yours for a couple of years at least but never saw this somehow. But your words hit me, I relate to this song a lot like a large majority of others. I don't believe that I love myself and I'm not sure I ever have...I grew up with a lot of people making fun of my weight among other things and allowed a lot of self-doubt to creep in, with it very little confidence in myself which allowed toxic people into my life, both through the internet and in person. I had a crush that had her baggage and for over 3 years i tried helping her and dealt with verbal and emotional abuse and she never ever shared my feelings for her. But the verbal and emotional abuse throughout our 3 ½ year friendship was more than likely taken up by her abuse, blaming me for something stupid to be angry about or taking her anger out on me because she knew she could get away with it

I love this song! It’s so nice to see a recovering addict turn their life around and become one of the most sought out musicians. I have been a big fan of his since 2020. I am a recovering addict myself. In 2020 I went to rehab for the third time. I was there for 60 days. When I came home from rehab I moved in with a good friend. She’s also a recovering addict. We both love just chilling and watching music videos and that’s how I found out about Jelly Roll. A lot of his songs I can relate to and it’s about time the world hears about the struggles of an addict and also see that addicts are human beings and that we can turn our lives around. I hope he continues to make songs and do concerts for a long time
