Getting a little scatter brained in this video but start with some maintenance on the T pickup change out the winter tires and put the summer whitewalls on, change out the back window and get a game plan for the interior. I also get more sanding done on the Pontiac as I get it closer to paint.
Thanks for watching and if you haven't already click like, leave a comment and subscribe if you haven't already.

Hey Brent, Greg here.Things are movin' along . Three window looking mighty fine ,primer on the wrap around custom cab ,and T looks ready to play in the spring time air. Nice to see "The Kid" has been busy on the Pontiac. My Dad had a friend that used to call me "Kid." The gentleman used to work in a warehouse ,drank Black Label beer ,smoked Export cigarettes(the ones that don't have filters),and drove a 1965 Biscayne 2 door post(Doesn't Biscayne 2 door post sound Kool !)Glad it's warming up to more seasonal weather. Keep at it "Kid ."

You probably already know this but for some that don’t, an Air Force buddy of mine showed me something that helps some when trying to form plexiglass or polycarbonates. Run very hot water in the bath tub or whatever you have, place the plastic in it then slowly add boiling water to get the temp to 120 deg f, wear gloves to protect your hands and start working it into a shape you want, remove it from the water and prop it up with whatever you have to try to keep your shape. This lets the plastic relax and take a shape without causing internal stress. You can somewhat make adjustments without damage. It has worked good for me the few times I have tried. Better than a torch. I have seen several people really mess up with a torch but I have seen a few successes. Keep encouraging the kid, we need more young craftsmen. The coupe is bitchin and the truck makes my eyes wet. 👍🇺🇸🤙😃

Damn Brent, it has to drive you crazy when it is there and between quarantine and weather, your just two blocked. (at a point that no further travel permitted) I sure love the work that you do and wonder if the queen will cut stimulus checks for you poor landlocked mechanics and other can go back to the work schedule. I had a person tell me once that since I owned my own shop that I should be very wealthy. I told them I liked how they think, that I too think wealthy would look good on me but cash sales paid to pay taxes on as the government crawls up my ass far enough that giving my fantail up to them felt like a well used unit. I can't not pay taxes. They walked away thinking yeah right, he's lying. I am so impressed with that tail light lense cover as that took some thinking. It used to be if you had that lense no. you could get any piece or part there of. I went to the stores and the shelves are empty. I suppose that is great if your worried about the exploration date yet know that it is way hard to restock everything. Why can a store go from crowded shelves that had food double stacked to empty??? I assume it is the same there?? Take care Canadian Friend from this old lazy guy in Alaska where the snow has backed off a bit but creeks are overflowing.

SERIOUSLY - I THINK YOU'RE GOING TO BE VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE RESULTS IF YOU USE RUSTOLEUM BROWN PAINT ON THE EXTERIOR FINISH OF THE PONTIAC. IT NEVER FULLY FULLY DRIES, IT WON'T ACCEPT ANY OTHER TYPE PAINT OVER IT. I WOULD JUST BUY A WEATHER RESISTANT SEMI GLOSS BROWN ACRYLIC ENAMEL AT ACE HARDWARE.
@HalfassKustoms
@HalfassKustoms 4 жыл бұрын
It's not really rustoleum as we can't buy it in quarts out here but it's like it. I've painted lots of stuff with it. but I always use a hardener with it. I've never painted the stuff without hardener in the paint, unless I'm brushing a frame or something. With that said Ive never had a problem sanding or repainting it but that's probably due to me adding hardener to the paint. I can't imagine the stuff drying with out the stuff.
