“It seems like you go to the Nth degree on everything” Max “absolutely” I mean it’s no mystery Max is a showman. Could even be considered cringy, but his points not to be some “woe is me tale” it’s to get other people to rally behind this. Even if they aren’t horror content creators people NEED to rally behind and unify as one to push KZbin to unfuck the site because as he says in the video “they’re only gonna do something if you grab them by the balls” and it’s so fucking true. The reason youtube gets away with so much shit is because people are complacent even in the face of changes that are financially hurting them because they fear if they stand up they’ll be the only one standing. Don’t feel like that. Stand together. Stand tall. That’s the only way this shit gets fixed.

I disagree. The "bombastic" tactics mamamax uses is not the only way to raise awareness and plenty raise awareness without resorting to such tactics, but it is a way to bring attention to himself so I don't believe him when he says he doesn't care about that. It is obvious with the lengths he is willing to go to, and the amount of effort he puts into his persona in his vids, that he very much does care. So I find him insincere and untrustworthy. He is less credible bc he uses such tactics and calls into question how much of what he presents is just for the "showmanship" as you put it.

Nick doesn't see that the investigative crime side of KZbin is heavily censored. Commentary, in comparison to crime and investigation is tame... and honestly uncompareable. The problem is when a crime or investigation channel is talking about events and has to pussy-foot around ALL the words of the event that occurred, to the point that the viewer almost doesn't know what happened. BUT you can go and watch a normal news network channel on KZbin, they say all the things. They are monetised. They're not age restricted. It's so stupid.

i feel like nick had a lot of preconceived notions before the show even started and was itching to try to prove his preconceived notions. Max deserves a lot of genuine criticism but Nick needs to chill and think a little before giving the criticism because a lot of it was valid and needed to be addressed but his tone just felt too combative to be genuine. Plus it seems like he misunderstood what max does in general and when given a straight answer he askes the same question later like he didn't already get an answer, I'm talking about what max meant by pick a side where he gave the answer, albeit a little vague, that its more about them policing "dark" content more then some pedos, like miniladd. Half of max's videos are artistic with a message, an extreme one but a message and usually his videos get some progress done.

The problem here is that Nick had his impressions of the video so what Max goes, "this is why I did things the way I did," his only response it, "no, I took it that way and your approach is bad." And it keeps going in circles. I'm surprised that Max takes this in such a calm and carefree fashion honestly. And also there would be an issue that Max will bring up but Nick goes, "yeah, that's an issue and I agree there should be a solution but I have issues with your video." Nick and Max would agree on a lot if Nick put aside his impression of the video. There is why during interviews it's good to give soft ball questions so that the interviewee will hang himself with his own rope (if they are actually nonferrous or real clout chaser) once you point out inconsistencies in their reasoning, or even pure hypocrisy. Even if Nick's reasoning has some merit, there is not enough meat to make audience chew on to agree with him automatically when Max's is collected about the whole thing.

Nick is always trying to grind into someone and takes the the worst most hyperbolic thing away from someone's point in the most snarky way jesus christ, Why is it so hard to understand that it is extremely upsetting when a big video about a pedophile actively hurting children goes down and youtube always has some weird obscure answer to why they took it down, I feel like Max feeling unheard by youtube and wanting to create a domino effect with bigger youtubers with a cleaner reputation to reach out to youtube or make a video so they will ACTUALLY listen is really clear here And yes this does happen to more people than just max like jesus christ how uncharitable can you be, have a problem with someone's point and argue with them but don't do it like this, Tom was great in this though
@carolusrex52132 жыл бұрын
The main issue I had with the video was how he made it super binary at the end, that either you stand with kids or pedos which is very unfair in my opinion. On top of that the ending with calling out other creators felt very dirty as if he was bullying them into saying something.
@kaled88392 жыл бұрын
the rest of the video essentially saying youtube supports pedophiles also makes calling out those specific content creators a call to action that says "if you dont side with me, you are also complicit in the support of pedophiles" which is fucked up, well intentioned as max seems to be. If sad face disagrees with that standpoint, max's audience sure as hell seems to agree that's what max's callout entails, considering moistcritikal and likely a few others are being called things like pedo apologizer, calling the youtubers themselves pedos, and so on. Now with that in mind, it's very understandable why nick is frustrated by this, because max's call to action which he has repeatedly said is to spark outrage is now a means to call youtubers pedophiles, and spread some real misinformation that could damage their careers for life.

Blackmailing/guilt tripping Feel free to disagree w/all these but all I ask is for you to respond in a calm way 1. Taking down Life Sucks - Sleep isn't the reason he believes corpse owed him. Corpse asked him a favor in dms that said "i dont wanna rush you but i kinda need this done soon. They both were more open to saying slurs on their own channels in that edgier era of KZbin. Max wasn't the only guilty party here, even Corpse himself deleted his own videos with slurs in them after the internet developed more awareness and sensitivity. Corpse even said that he didn't know the severity of the word they used back then, so at the end of the day it would be pretty unreasonable for someone to ghost a person after a collab that did well just because both of them had lower standards on responsible speech at the time. 3. Max completely has the right to share his experience here. You're not obligated to shut your mouth when somebody mistreats you in your eyes (lemme say this again, *in your eyes*). You can completely agree with corpse's treatment towards max, but at the end of the day, max was showing truth about corpse's character. Max isn't blackmailing, because he's not threatening to show the public sensitive information, and he isn't guilt tripping either because all he's doing is exposing corpse while giving him a chance to recover from that. Exposing somebody's character is never immoral and neither should it be deemed psychopathic/fucked up lol

@@moriahmars1462 DUDE WHAT?? NONE OF UR POINTS ADD UP. ur picking and choosing things to make it sound like what max did is ok but anyone with a working brain cell knows it's fucking not. None of those creators owe max anything he cant just call them out and expect them to help him for his own gain. And yea he did fucking publicly blackmail and try to guilt trip corpse. when max was asked about the corpse segment during the podcast he said yea it was blackmail and then fucking laughed and said 'he owes me a favour for removing the video" psychopathic behavior honestly and I'm hoping corpse takes legal action against him for the attempt at defamation.
@moriahmars14622 жыл бұрын
@@rayokay1938 Man it's not like he's threatening corpse lol he just put out information about him and however corpse reacts to it is his own choice. It isn't blackmail by definition and a defamation case can't hold up against max for factual evidence. An invasion of privacy lawsuit might tho (Defamation is literally about spreading misinformation, mamamax didn't do that)

@@moriahmars1462 if max was even a little bit of a good friend to corpse he would have known about corpses mental issues and extreme anxiety but to go do something like that in his video instead of discussing it through DMs just because he was ghosted bc C didn't want to collab at the time. Max's behavior is shitty and cant be defended. All corpse does is mind his own business and share his art with us and he did not deserve to be included in Max's little 'shitstorm' fuck max honestly.

Re: Romeo Lacoste - nobody went to law enforcement. These people don’t face legal repercussions if nobody goes to law enforcement. And, sadly, sentences after a criminal conviction can be pretty light. Curtis Lepore confessed and pled guilty, and served no jail time. I think he was ordered to pay his victim a few hundred dollars and go to counseling.
@StewPac2 жыл бұрын
@@DanielleStarry If I remember correctly Curtis served no time because he took a plea deal and pled guilty to a lesser crime. It is concerning I watch the darker content fast because it does get taken down A LOT. Nick says he is edgy??! For real mate, no your not. When people literally have to censor a word so they don't automatically get taken down?! These words are all on dark subjects pedophilia, zoophile, porn ect. It's about time KZbin bit the bullet and employed people to review. Or give incentives for everyone to view and review. Like free months subscription to KZbin itself. Then when red flags are put up it goes to a person at KZbin to watch and take down if it needs. If you review it honestly you get to keep doing reviews if you don't they take you off the review process. You could opt out of it too if you want. Just an idea.

Max might not be a clout chaser, but I still think he has a chronic hero complex and is weirdly passive-aggressive to other creators (not even including the ones he directed a call to action to in his video). His inclusion of beef with Corpse Husband is still something of a red flag that makes me doubt his sincerity and supposed selflessness in this endeavour.
