I am so glad this came back. I was in Nick's live chat when you asked Vega if he was down to do half baked again. I know this probably isn't the most profitable venture for any of you, but it is the single best podcast I've ever listened to. Vega you are a gem in this one too. I know this sounds a little sappy but for real guys keep up the good work and I'll def check out BAMFS and Burbon Vega! You should make more content. He's either lying or he's telling the truth at this point, I don't think there's a whole lot of in between. And if you ask me, knowing that there are people out there, including Twitch, who know the whole truth I somehow doubt that he would lie about this whole thing.

The problem is that wasn't what he originally said. The issue is if it was just jokes that weren't sexual but involved cussing then that should have been said. There was no reason to wait a month to clarify this. The issue isnt twitch because Cody the ex twitch employee is the one who is making these claims. The only thing he can do in my eyes is actually sue this guy for slander. His original statement hurts him but that would show that he is willing to take the steps a innocent man would. I'm sorry but I do not believe the edits he made where part of his plan. I'm too old to fall for that. The point about people making bad faith assumptions about what he meant is dumb for several reasons 1 we already know this about the internet so there was no need to do that 2. It's not even the same because it's not a situation where people where taking claims from another person and treating them as fact. It was doc's own words that caused this. And 4 the fact that his game studio dropped him and his close friends still don't fuck with him indicates to me that they where told something else that doc isn't telling us. Nick isn't the type to fold to any pressure. If the guy who still won't apologize for his statements about transgender. The guy who lost numerous deals because of that still will not fuck with doc. That tells me there is more then doc is telling us.

Not disagreeing with you but there is something to consider. Knowingly sending explicit nsfw images to a minor is directly illegal even if it’s not of either party in the photos or videos sent. That also is probably the case with the “meet up” allegations. Cause if you send messages in a sexual nature with an outspoken plan to meet up you are cooked cause that shows intent. If you are sending messages of a sexual nature and nothing else without planning to meet up or images it’s a lot easier to defend your position in court. However while making a plan or sending messages is illegal and the legal definition of “sexting”. It’s still defensible with them but a lot more so without them. Especially If it’s just one case with one minor. It’s why most cases with convictions of just messages are because of a few reasons. it was a sting op by law enforcement or they used the fact that there were multiple victims that came forward with the transcript to gain a warrant to seize the accused persons computers and access to the specific sites they were using to message the victims. I’ve seen one too many cases where the only evidence is just messages with just one minor or victim where the accused gets off scot free cause it’s too easy of a defensible position in court. Especially if it’s brought by someone who isn’t law enforcement. Cause it’s too easy to claim fake, out of context, no intent was stated, or that they were tampered with. Harder even more so if the messages are sent on a site that requires you to verify or click agree that you are 18. It’s why most cases where the evidence is brought up by the predator hunting vigilante channels have such a low conviction rate. It can still sometimes lead to a conviction but it’s so rare Most DAs won’t touch any case where the only evidence provided are text messages with no explicit images are knowingly sent specifically to a minor. It’s also why preds use Discord servers and group chats to send them now cause it’s way too easy to defend with “I didn’t know they were minor and they clicked the 18+ role so how would I have known?” So either way he may be telling the truth but he also could be lying in either case depending on how you look at it. Just something to consider. Also wanted the info out there since as someone with multiple degrees in Criminal Law Studies. Because people are assuming way too much about how the court systems and laws work in this situation on either side. I really hate blatant misinformation being spread lol especially on a device that could access that info if people would just take like just a few minutes to read up on what they are talking about through verified trusted sources haha

I should have never entertained these conversations to begin with. That's on me. That's on me as an adult, a husband and a father. It should have never happened. I get it. I'm not perfect and I'll fucking own my shit. This was stupid." He agrees, it was weird talking to someone's kid in private. I agree it was weird he was talking to some kid in private in any capacity beyond handing out giveaways etc. He offered her services through his Midnight Club or what have you, something that may have included real world transactions to increase streaming revenue etc, seminars and what have you about increasing your Twitch presence. It was weird, nothing in this indicates it was weird to you? Anyone defending his weird actions are even weirder.

A few things: Ya'll left out the Interview that Quinn DelHoyo had with Decrypt following Doc's statement, where he clarifies that the decision for Guy to leave Midnight Society was actually a mutual one, and that they had calls where all the cofounders were on throughout that weekend, and furthermore, how they wished him success / well in future endeavors. Also, an important note is that Cody Conners, who is credited with the leak, not only is good, personal friends with Rod Breslau, aka Slasher (The guy literally credited with both articles on Rolling Stone and Bloomberg--who ALSO knew of the alleged reason, yet sat on it for many years to exploit the outrage.) but also had hinted at potentially leaking "the reason" several times prior, in attempts to sell tickets to shows his band was hosting--and he did this for YEARS. This particular time, he included the word "sexting" and literally everyone lost their mind. One final point: Ya'll mention several times in this podcast that "you'd think if you were accused of X then you'd simply come out and say Y to avoid speculation", only the reason Guy couldn't say anything was due to the NDA that he was legally obligated to, and until he was able to get affirmation legally from his counsel that by virtue of Cody (and others resulting) "leaking" the reason, the NDA had become defunct, he couldn't speak on the matter or risk losing his settlement money. I don't share ANY of this as a Fan or some cringelord neckbeard Super Dr. Disrespect fan, but as someone who has followed this case, prides himself on the impartial transparency of due process, and seen an insane amount of injustice, regarding his cancellation and destruction of his history of accomplishments with almost little to no foundation or evidence--all hinged on the subjective interpretation of the word "inappropriate". Not defending anyone here, but online society has devolved in my opinion to such a state that most folks lost all concept of rationality, instead preferring outrage, and I refuse to either contribute, or follow that absurd insanity. We have yet to hear from ANY alleged victim, and almost everyone, including sponsors have reacted entirely off of people not even directly involved in the incident, just their reactions. Both articles's foundation is "I heard from someone that saw" and somehow justify that as enough to destroy a Man's livelihood. It's actually insane--and before anyone claims "well he admitted it" he said "sometimes leaned into inappropriate" which is still entirely subjective. Take Dr. Lupo for example, he interpreted "inappropriate" as "eliciting sex from a teenager" despite that not being ANYWHERE in there. That's absurd! Or, how about "tried to meetup" when what he did was ask this person, who is a Creator in case you didn't know, if they were going to TwitchCon, because he is, and has a meet and greet. The context was intentionally twisted to exploit the outrage, which all benefit clicks for both articles that Slasher wrote, raising his monetary gain. A little suspicious.

Ok so my theory. I've only seen this part of the clip on destiny coverage of his comeback. He's talking about the "user" and their twitch partner? It's 14 mins into destiny's video. It's a lil hard to keep up cuz destiny keeps pausing to talk but he says it twice and because of destiny's pausing and rewinding it's said 4 times.
