The one thing I can think of that sounds like it could be something with regards to "No teeth are connected" is the fact that a frequent kind of nightmare people have involves having their teeth fall out. This would fit with the surreal feeling of this particular controller disconnect screen, I think.

I'm glad to be alive too! I was very worried for a few of those months, not gonna lie! Imagine arriving at your destination and they say 'sorry we're full.' And then you apply for temporary shelter at every homeless shelter in the area and they *also* say 'sorry we're full there's a wait list.' Even just 'safe parking lot to park in' has a wait list. Terrifying! Thank goodness it's finally over... for me. The lingering knowledge that it's not over for hundreds and hundreds of people plagues my mind.

@@HalfBreadChaos im literally stuck in a situation where i am squatting in a house we got evicted from , because we got evicted, in a way that is not legal, with my council not rehousing me or my parents, even though, with me having autism, they are legally obligated to, but they wont. evne though i am not applicable to be housed on my own, meaning we shouldnt of become homeless in the first place (we was already in a temporary house waiting for them to put us in an actual home, and this has been my life for 5 years, squatting, to in a temporary house, to homeless again, im only 22, which meant yes, i had to start dealing with this crap as a college student.

The thing that always bothered me is that the “No face is connected” line doesn’t actually have a period when the sentence finishes. Every other line does (including the Japanese version of that same line) and since it’s the line that gets cut off by the screen border, I always thought it looked off and that, since the period wasn’t visible, it must be lower than the rest of the characters for some reason.

Huh! Good point! Maybe that was Toby's way of marking where the cut off is in English? Or like, it's meant to imply that it cuts off for us English speakers? (Since the code doesn't make it easy to scroll the text for the English lower than the text for the Japanese, so it's harder to get that pixel-perfect cut off in both languages at once?) I can't see any other reason it would be like that.

Actually, on further reflection, I do remember that being a contributing factor to my suspicions that there may be more in English... but I didn't really act on it until we got footage of the Japanese... You can ignore this comment. Its a small prediction about chapter 3/4 and I am just saying it here as proof I called it if I am right. Looking through the code of deltarune I found what seemed to be a scrapped cutscene of lancer having some kind of dopleganger. I made jokes with my friends saying "maybe this will be in chapter 3" but in one of the recent newsletters where toby told us some stuff about chapter 3 there were multiple hints suggesting that the cutscene would be there in the form of a gingerbread lancer. Now thats a lancer cookie.

Teeth could possibly represent aggression? Especially in animals (which the amalgamates arent, but they are close enough that i could see it working) So "No heart is connected" followed by "No teeth are connected" before restating "No heart is connected" could mean something along the lines of "they cannot feel emotions in the same way they used to" "However they do not mean any harm" "They just want to feel again" Or simply put "they cant feel yet they mean no harm even though they cant feel" Alternatively "heart" could be referring to love, perhaps them being separated from their families? Thats how id see it atleast, might look at the rest of them later, perhaps the message is a double meaning where it appears to be reffering to the amalgamates physical state but is also more accurately reffering to how they feel? Or maybe im just reading too much into this!

This is probably way off, but an interesting way to read the True Lab controller text is if you imagine that it's building the vessel at the start of Deltarune. Like, the first 8 lines are version one of the vessel, then all of those things are added and the next two lines show up. It has a mouth but I guess they forgot teeth and it has no heart. Then the teeth are added and a heart is added, but for some reason the soul won't work with the vessel and it gives another "no heart is connected", hence why the vessel is scrapped at the start of Deltarune and it cuts to Kris instead. As a side note, the only reason I even thought of that is because I remembered how Deltarune literally starts off by saying "Are we connected?"
