I was there as a teenager among the 250.000 Metal fans...still one the best days of my life. His solo work is amazing, also with the previous Fight band. A lot of bangers with the Metal God. Screaming in the dark, Betrayal, Nailed to the gun are some of his must hear songs. Keep it up, guys! 🤘🏽

The "Halford," and "Fight" band's material don't get anywhere near the respect and attention they deserve. That stuff is outstanding. And, the crunch is this is ridiculous.

Priest is my fav band and has been for over 42 years. When he left Judas Priest I thought that was it. The 90’s was rough but RESURECTION was definetly the return to Metal for the metal god. He assembled a amazing band ! Rob took the stage and was in attack mode every concert. Resurrection/ Crucible / Live Insurrection are 3 amazing albums. Rob Halford is 100% the Metal god!

I was there that night. And it was like 38°C (100F). I was super hyped and then I looked at Halford's leather jacket and all I could think was "how the hell is he still wearing that?" Great night, greatest concert night I've ever been to. I felt sorry for Rob Halford though

"Silent Screams" is a PERFECT metal song... just is... Perfect subject matter: pain. Perfect musicianship. Perfectly showcases Rob's PHENOMENAL vocal range and talent. To me this song appears to be very personal to Rob Halford. Like autobiographical. It's an insight to where his unearthly piercing screams come from. The song has three acts to it. The first movement is the introduction to Rob's pain... the source of his incredible screams... his history kinda... he lays his soul bare . I can imagine his upbringing, searching for his purpose... chasing dreams... recollections of his past... then finding it in music, particularly Judas Priest. The incredible times he's rocked a million faces... Regrets... tempting fate and loosing friends... and self-doubts... That pain deep down in his soul... in his heart like a needle... but also understanding that it's HIS pain... HIS life.. the world goes on... why is he left with this pain ? Doesn't he deserve better ? no matter what he's poured out in his lyrics... in his incredible emotional wailings... he hasn't rid himself of his pain... nothing's changed... Then the second movement... the realization... The first movement was about him, Rob,... existing in the world... reflective, pensive, melancholic even... with a tempo to match... The second movement, the heavier , brutal one... that's sung as from another person's perspective... the tormentor, the man in black... spewing hate... "Since time began I made a vow to drag you underground. To steal your soul of purity and watch you waste away" Who would DO THIS to poor Rob since he was born ? "I prey upon your broken dreams your weakness gives me strength. I'm laughing at your silent screams I'll crush you with my hate" Who would "prey upon" his broken dreams, laugh at him and crush him with hate ? WHO ? "I am the shape that's in your room that watches over you. I am the needle in your heart" Who... but himself... his pain... his doubt... his subconscious mind... that con never be soothed... Then the third movement... the rationalization... the switch back to the lower tempo, the pensive mood illuminated by his realization... He can't escape... "The lies that never learned" .. "The journey never ends. It's just begun" But... Rob digs deep and channels that hate and fear into his lyrics and into those soul wrenching screams ! "You take it all And face the fear that's here Until the Silence Screams it leaves you with no choice to carry on You'll never fall When all is said and done The only Scream is here The journey never ends - it's just begun The lies that never learned The needles in my heart And things will never change So everytime I scream I'm killing pain"

Halford's "Resurrection" was an EXCELLENT album, no doubt there ! But it wasn't as perfect as Fight's "War of Words" IMO. Now, this is a bit of a weird one because the PERFECT songs on "Resurrection" are better than the PERFECT songs on "War of Words"... it's just that there are some songs on Res that are skip-able... sometimes... but none on WOW. BUT... "Silent Screams" is one of those PERFECT songs so BUCKLE UP !
