You know you have created and executed a brilliant halftime show when you make a 50 year old man laugh, cry, and clap in the span of 5 minutes while watching it on video. I would have been an emotional wreck if I had been there in person. Congratulations on this achievement, Ohio State University Marching Band. Just brilliant.

I am the same age, and I was coming unglued as I watched this. Rush was my one of my very first "favorite bands" before I was 10 years old (along with Queen, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and Pink Floyd), and if I was there to see this in person, my internal collisions of enthusiasm and astonishment would have become an external embarrassment for my wife. This was so well done, whoever was behind it needs deserves a tremendous amount of appreciation and credit.

I believe I would rather sit for hours watching and listening to this rather then a football game. But then again I am a child of the 60s and 70s and grew up with rush.

I saw Rush a few times and almost didn’t go to the R40 show because it was a 3 1/2 hour ride away but ended up deciding last minute to go. So glad I did cause who knew it was gonna be the last time we’d see Neil. God bless Rush and God bless this marching band, particularly the percussionists, cause those songs are no easy feat to play.

Absolutely fantastic. Just wondering what music nerd at OSU with power and influence was able to make this happen. Consider a tribute to Iron Maiden. They'd have to carry the tuba players off the field with stretchers, but it would be worth it.

MSU Spartan Fan here, so I hate the Buckeyes, BUT their marching band is the cream of the crop! I was in marching band and just being decent at marching and playing in very hard! This marching band is incredibly talented. Imagine the hours spent learning their routines. Being from Michigan, I've seen Rush a half dozen times and they should be proud to be represented by the OSU (refuse to say THE) Marching Band.

follow up: From Loudwire Mag "Rush's Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson seemed pleased with the tribute, retweeting a video excerpt of it on Saturday. "We're speechless," they remarked, adding hand clap emojis."

I am in tears!! The professor would have been proud 2112 should have had our rush guy from album cover in choreography I have seen rush 17 times live I would have spent my life’s fortune to be at this game to see live I think this tribute has something to do with that women at that radio station in I think it was Cleveland who when she first heard rush she made sure they got air play they were nobody’s John rusty was sick you know the story or just read some of the professor s books to this day all who know me know that 2112 is my way of saying yes or when I answer phone the first thing I say is 2112 maybe Alex and his son on drums will convince Getty it’s time to put together a studio tribute and a 1 time live performance “I don’t think it will happen? Neil was not that kind of guy they will honor his legacy by just being happy thankful and grateful they gave him that audition where he shows up in a white corvette with his drum kit!! I own a similar corvette. How the hell did he get even a 5 piece kit in his car
