Just to give props real quick as you and Sprague were speaking about Family Thing I was in real life thinking "Man, I'd like to hear that someday" and the video cut to the song before I could fully finish the thought. So thanks and salute to you and respect to Mr Sprague for building such a lasting legacy with his art.

Thanks Jay. Once he mentioned the song I had to track it down. Mucho Scott mentioned the same story but he forgot the track name.

I was shocked when the late Kenny Greene of INTRO was temporarily a member of Men of Vision after INTRO fell out for a bit.

Wow! Thanks for this! I never knew about Family Thing. I always thought the song they were doing for Adams Family was Ghosts/Is It Scary. Maybe he was doing more than one song for the movie.

It's such a shame that the original track didn't get completed. They were also working on the follow up to Dangerous album when they stopped recording. None of the songs made it to History as Michael went a different direction

@@HalftimeChat Yes it is a shame. I remember the controversy over Adams Family Values. They ended up poking fun at him in the movie. I wish Teddy Riley had made in on HIStory. Half of HIStory continues was great. If he gave the other half to Teddy it would be been amazing.

That Addams family Mc Hammer shit came out in 91, a minute before Mike got caught up in that other bullshit.

I disagree with MJ doing R&B.. he was too big for that. I think that was part of his downfall because it put him in a box he was too large for. He should have stayed with Pop records and he would have kept selling with Thriller type sales.

Interesting point. 🤔

Billy Jean was an r&b song and it has more views on youtube than Beat it which was the crossover record. Thriller has other r&b songs like "Baby be mine" and "Lady in my life". White people crossed over to M.J. and in exchange he did songs like "The way you make me feel" and "Man in the mirror". So your theory doesn't hold up.

Michael Jackson's downfall was moving back from Bahrain to Calfornia and putting his trust into Black Americans. That's what got him killed because the doctor that OD''ed Michael is Black American.

Absolutely not. MJ's music at its core is R&B. The "Pop" title is what put him in a box, because it gives casual listeners a narrow view of him as a songwriter and musician, when he actually redefined what "pop" was.

Tammy Lucas was too fat hence why Teddy Riley never really put her out because she was one hell of a singer over T.R.'s tracks. She looks healthy now but too late for her career. Sigh.

I don't know if it was her weight or that Teddy had other projects he thought should be released first 🤔
